Travel Guide
The first step of your journey will involve getting to Ireland. We recommend that you fly to one of the following: Dublin Airport, Cork Airport or Shannon Airport. From there it will be necessary to get a train or bus to Cork City.
Dublin Airport From Dublin Airport, the easiest way to travel to Cork City is by bus. Aircoach – The 704 X bus leaves from Dublin airport to Cork City every hour. We would advise booking this on their website in advance to ensure you secure a seat on the bus. http://www.aircoach.ie GoBé – This bus service also leaves from Dublin airport to Cork City. All of the details and booking information can be found on their website; http://www.gobe.ie The two airport buses listed above also pick up passengers in Dublin City Centre. If however, you find yourself in Dublin City Centre, you may also wish to hop on a train to Cork. This is slightly quicker than the bus, but also can be more expensive. Trains can be booked at this website, http://www.irishrail.ie.
Cork Airport Luckily, if you manage to book a flight to Cork airport, one of our organisers will be able to meet you off the plane and direct you towards the local bus service, which will bring you straight to Cork city. This does not need to be booked in advance.
Shannon Airport Buses from Shannon airport to Cork City Bus Eireann – This bus service leaves from Shannon airport to Cork City every hour - route no. 51 or 343. All details can be found on Bus Eireann’s website. http://www.buseireann.ie/innerphp?id=270
