Get Your Maximum Tax Benefits Your investment in Cornerstone University and its outreach ministries may cost you very little! Both the state and federal governments encourage your gifts by providing tax savings that substantially reduce your actual out-of-pocket costs of a gift to the university or its outreach ministries. In Michigan, a single person may claim a tax credit equaling 50 percent of your gift up to $100, and if a husband and wife file jointly, they may claim up to a $200 credit. In addition, your whole contribution may be deductible for federal income tax purposes, if you itemize.
Students are impacting the world around them right here in the Grand Rapids community! SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) raised $105 for a “needy student scholarship” by asking Cornerstone students to bring $1 to the annual CU Thanksgiving dinner. CU students will continue to fundraise among their peers to raise the remaining funds to reach their goal of a $500 scholarship. Cornerstone students are passionate about making an impact in their world for Jesus Christ!
