WEINGUT A. CHRISTMANN IDIG Tasting As mentioned in the introduction, we were very lucky to time the start of our relationship with A. Christmann to coincide with a year when a retrospective tasting was planned. The tasting was hosted at A. Christmann as an opportunity for three estates to show ten vintages of their top single vineyard wine. I dashed out on the August bank holiday via Frankfurt in glorious weather so as not to miss this, wild horses and all that. The three wines were: IDIG Riesling GG from Weingut A. Christmann MORSTEIN Riesling GG from Weingut Wittman KASTANIENBUSCH Riesling GG from Weingut Okonmierat Rebholz. I must say that the verticals of all three wines shone brightly. I have only included my notes for the IDIG here. The wines were all decanted and served in one flight. DM denotes double magnum.
