Born in Florida on July 31, 1980, Cory Simmons, an Atlanta Attorney, attended Florida State University, earning his Bachelor’s in Philosophy and Theater. While at FSU, he was involved in leadership programs and gained recognition as a Florida Bright Futures Scholar. He later attended Florida Coastal School of Law, where he stood out for his academic abilities. Cory was a Moot Court Honor Board member and participated in mock trial competitions, developing his public speaking and legal argumentation skills. He won the National Moot Court Competition in 2005 and was awarded Best Oralist in the Prince Evidence Competition in 2006. After earning his Juris Doctor in 2007, Cory Simmons began his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney in the Fourth Judicial Circuit of Florida. In this role, he handled various cases, from misdemeanors to serious felonies, and successfully led 18 trials, securing 12 guilty verdicts.
