Every time a new issue drops it opens up a can of worms. I see mistakes, room for improvement and things I want to change. In short, I am my own worst critic. I constantly see areas in which I can improve and add a little #COSIGN spice to the mix. I hate complacency and know that if you want to improve your brand and/or service you have to be open to try new things and explore your creative juices. I want COSIGN to be a magazine that evolves with each issue and most importantly a brand with integrity and content. We want to inspire our readers that you too,

can live out your dreams and this is why we focus on entrepreneurs with inspiring stories in many different industries. Trust me, it would be much easier to feature and interview any entrepreneur with a buzz, but then we would be like every other magazine trying to reach national status. We at COSIGN Magazine like to take the pay-it-forward approach. Find the next Mark Zuckerberg or even the next Michael Jordan of our time. It’s the features we can relate to and the stories that make us want to pursue our dreams 1,000 times harder are what we will feature. COSIGN was created to capture a smarter more educated audience. Our readers are dream chasers themselves and look to find advice from entrepreneurs that made it; they’re not worried about the gossip they know if this person can do it, so can they. The Artistic Life Cycle Words by: Jacob Grovey
Art, by definition is simply an expression of one’s imagination and creativity. Anyone who creates ‘art’ is an artist. Simple, right? Well, not really. In the age where social media gives just about everyone the idea their opinion is more valuable than everyone else’s, many people have become what I call ‘art snobs.’ I won’t sugarcoat it when I say I hate ‘art snobs’ and if you are one, I hope you become a little more open minded after you read the remainder of this article. Back in the day, I was one of those people that I now hate, at least when it came to the artistic expression known as hiphop. I would listen to the rappers who were known to be more socially conscious and hate on those who were not. I was closedminded when it came to rap and because of that, I missed out a lot of music. One day I was in the car with someone and they played some stuff I wouldn’t normally pay attention to and I just remained quiet and listened. I heard the rapper spit out words that were actually clever, and that’s when it hit me. Everyone has pictures, music and words inside their heads they want to get out to the world, but too many time the masses won’t accept their ‘art.’ That’s when I vowed not to judge things on how I thought they would be, I would simply see how they were. Now, it doesn’t matter if someone is playing Waka, Common, Nicki Minaj, The Roots, Talib, Yasiin Bey (Mos Def), Soulja Boy, T-Pain, Too $hort, Lil’ Kim, Drake, Jean Grae or anyone else because they all, at times, have clever lines. They all, at some point or another, say something that makes me think “How did they come up with that?” They all have a story to tell and art to share. It goes beyond music when it comes to ‘art snobs,’ though. In the world of paintings/drawings and writing, the problem of artistic acceptance seems to be even bigger. Sure the work of famous painters such as Rembrandt and Michelangelo should be respected because they were great, but so should the work of lesser (internationally) known artists such as my father, Gregory Grovey, Sr (RIP). Sure, my opinion may be biased, but his work should be no less the subject of admiration that those were. Not just my father, but the countless other painters and talented tattoo and graffiti artists across the world whose work is often looked down upon because it never caught the positive attention of the snobs. Poets such as Big Rube, Saul Williams and Georgie Me don’t get the attention they deserve because some may view what they say and write as ‘street poetry’ or ‘urban.’ If such is the case, what did they think of Langston Hughes? Contrary to how he is viewed now, Mr. Hughes’ work was also looked down upon after it was initially created. Why? Well, he was also urban. His work and legacy is looked upon differently as the years pass, though. This brings me to the actual point of this rant, which is the ‘artistic life cycle.’
6
Too many times, when it comes to art, we go through these artistic life cycles. The steps may vary, but the artistic life cycle generally goes like this: (1) Recognition (2) Persecution and then after death comes (3) Appreciation/ Understanding. Quickly explained, it goes like this. When a new artists becomes popular, or recognized, the majority of the people love him/her. They are like new toys in which we can’t get enough of. We play and play until we start to notice flaws. This is the start of step two. After the initial phase of popularity starts to wear off, we start seeing things a little bit differently. The things we used to like about the artist are the things we grow to hate. We used to love the style and colors used by a particular artist, but now we can’t stand them. We used to enjoy the southern slang and dialect of a certain rapper, now he just sounds ‘country.’ This is the persecution stage. This is the stage where most people’s career goes downhill and they are never able to regain what they once had. Life passes and the artist continues to do what they love (sometimes), but it seems the people have forgotten about, or dismissed their talent. Then, after their life comes step three: understanding. This portion of the cycle is somewhat like a revert to step one when we recognize, accept and understand their talent. We dismiss the negativity from step two simply because we know we will not be able to get more work from the artist. We start to look at their work and life in a different light and we suddenly feel as though we understand the artist’s struggle. We understand why certain words were used in verses. We can see why the artist used so much red in their later paintings. We buy everything we can so the artist will once again be appreciated, but the sad thing is, it’s too late. The last thing that artist knew before his/her death is how the people who were once their fans, turned their backs, and in turn, seemed to stab them in theirs. I think this is why many times there is such an onslaught of support after an artist passes. Two major examples of this is how record sales for Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston shot up after their deaths. This trend actually saddens me. It seems that too many times we fail to realize artists (even the famous ones) are still just human. They will make mistakes like we do, they will stumble and fall like we do and just like the rest of us, they will need a helping hand every now and then. We should never be judgmental of anyone because of who we think they are. It is one thing to not like a person’s art because we all have the right to do so, but it is wrong to actually say we dislike the person, especially when we don’t know them. Let me also reiterate how we all need to be more open minded when it comes to art. Step outside of your normal confines and more than likely, you’ll discover something new that you truly enjoy. Don’t be afraid of what others may think, just stay true to who you are and have confidence that your opinion is valid (but not more important than the next person’s). All in all, I guess I am trying to say, we simply need to respect one another. We need to respect everyone’s right to express themselves however they may see fit. We all have stories to tell, but we must realize everyone is not going to agree with our artistic visions. If we do these simple things, art criticism will be taken away from the snobs and the ability to appreciate all forms of art will be given to us all. Not only that, but the artistic life cycle, that has been a part of so many people’s creativity, will crumble. We should not wait to show appreciation and love to an artist once they are gone, we should honor everyone’s artistic integrity while they are still creating. Life is art, so be careful how your picture is being painted. Peace

Words By: Chris Edwards of Cosign Sports Those of you who say that a sport is nothing but a game and that professional sports are all about the money don’t know your history. This is a history before multi-million dollar shoe deals and top selling video games shot sports into pop culture, a history when it had a culture of its own. Before stadiums reached 100,000 seats with high definition television screens, there were the small crowds that watched the early years of pro sports for the beauty of the games. This has been lost recently in the era of naked photos and doping scandals, as even the pageantry of college sports has been tainted in the worst way‌.so I think its time to remind everyone how beautiful the games really are. The images of the past are some the main reasons why the present even exits. Before high definition, the grittiness of the early footage and photos gave sports an almost ghost like presence to us now. With stills of Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb in regal and recognizable poses, caught in time forever and in ledged; baseball was the first sport to use the art of photography to accurately depict the true mechanics of the game. Because of its slow pace and fluid motions, it was easy to capture a big swing, the majestic arch of the ball; and every person’s reaction within lens shot. Once things started moving with the invention of television, the artistry of the games were finally seen in motion. The game of football was one that benefited from television; with NFL Films taking a once plodding and pounding game, and turning it into a theatrical masterpiece. Complete with militant yet elegant music, the Saban family made the game magical

GRASP Beyond Grasp is the only name fitting for the man that takes a blank canvas like the side of a wall, and turns it into the works of art he does. It also takes a talent like no other to imagine the scenes he creates. While his style is influenced by many, his originality and signature themes are one of a kind; as he takes on an art once dubbed VANDALISM. It’s time to get a grip on Beyond Grasp as he shows us exactly what he #COSIGN’s. Interview and Words by: Parris Daniel What does it mean to be an independent artist in an edgy field like graffiti art? It means getting paint on everything. Is it a preference of yours to do large murals, or did you start out as a tagger? Yes. It is definitely my prefrence to paint as large as possible, but I did start out doing sloppy tags, ugly throws, and bullshit stencils. Once I was introduced to the fat cap it was all over. Thanks James. How much of the culture behind graffiti art do you think is linked with the extreme sports scene? I think all the alternative subcultures are really similar, they are all big families of people with a mutual passion to do what they love. Whether it’s graffiti art, skateboarding, or even glass blowing, we are all the same. Do you ever think it(Graffiti? Will be accepted into the mainstream like they have been? Probably not. Given how much more popular mainstream sports are than art in general, I think graff will stay just as underground as it’s always been, with the few sparks here and there. There are certain images that you reuse in your art with great affect, where do these characters and influences come from? From my brain, haha. I just focus on subject matter that I personally enjoy, and people seem to enjoy it as well. What are the artists that influenced you the most?
Salvador Dali for his creativity, Frida Kahlo for her passion, Saber for his work ethic, and Dmise for his diversity. But my biggest influence would be my Great Uncle Al Williams(RIP), for his ability to recognize art in everyday life. Outside of art, what makes the creative juices flow? My girl Keara for sure. Some good music. A ride on my longboard. The sky. The ocean. Nature. Panther Chameleons. Coffee. Cannabis. Boredom. Life. What other forms of art besides graffiti that interest you? Where do I start?... Glass blowing, screen printing, pin-striping, oil painting, airbrushing, tile mosaics, wood burning, dancing, sculpting, metal working... I could go on and on. Where do you see your creativity taking you in the future? Hopefully to the bank. Ha! I think being able to support myself and my family by doing what I love is definitely a goal in my future. Who do you #Cosign? My big family. My girl, Keara Darling, for all her hard work behind the scenes. My dude James at OinkArtLtd.com for keepin’ the paint flowing. My crew. Boxfan Willy, Signature Series, and all my other American glass artists hustlin’ out there. The homie and up and coming graphic designer, Howdy, for all his graphic help. The idea of creating our #LoveArt issue was inspired by two artists, Michael Andre, our photographer and Isaiah Perkins, designer extraordinaire. Art, can be displayed in many forms and fashion, but have you ever met an individual with so many artistic talents, besides Chris Brown? That young man can sing, dance, rap, paint, draw, etc. but Isaiah Perkins is just as talented if you ask me. Recent graduate from The Art Institute of Tampa, this young entrepreneur’s resume is bedazzling. Graphic designer, painter, artist, web designer, and manager to some up-and-coming artists there is nothing Isaiah can’t do artistically and creatively. Now find out why we, at COSIGN Magazine, #COSIGN Mr. Isaiah Perkins. Interview and Words by: K.G. Graham Why do you #LoveArt? I love art because it’s a form of selfexpression. I love creating art because it gives me a chance to express myself with no qualms or critiques. (Unless I post it on Facebook then everybody might have something to say.) A lot of artists and entrepreneurs are living their dreams off of pure talent. Do you believe attending The Art Institute of Tampa gives you an advantage artistically? Yes, I believe it does to a certain extent. It gave me the technical skill, knowledge of industry standards and bunch of great friends who are dope designers and artists. But it was an “institution” so it put a big dent in my pocket that I’m still paying off. Some people never went and jumped into their profession right after high school and it worked. That’s inspiration to me too. What are your thoughts on modern day art compared to classical art that we have all studied in school?
I respect it but I don’t really dig some of it. Monet and Rembrandt and the other artist of that period were great but it doesn’t grab my attention like some of the new contemporary art/street art. That was the art of its period. Now you see art collectors adding street art to their collections and respected auction houses like Christies adding insulation art to the bidding list. What inspires you to paint and what is your most meaningful painting? Lately what has been inspiring me to paint has been pop culture and jazz music. My latest’s pieces have been of jazz icons like Dizzy Gillespie and Thelonious Monk. Bebop Jazz is my new rap. My favorite piece has to be “1000 Words” a 2x4ft piece on wood (its featured somewhere in this article). I wanted to take my time and approach this like Van Gough painting with short brush strokes and various colors. Being that this is our #LoveArt issue, and women are an art form their selves. What would you do
artistically to attract a woman you were feeling? Lol most of the time I would do something silly or a way to get her attention. Nothing corny just something to make her laugh. After that I just be myself, don’t lie, or don’t say anything stupid and I’ll be “painting a new canvas” very soon. What artists do you #COSIGN? I #COSIGN Mike (Azn) Houghligan, Shepard Fairey, David Michael Rothman, Joonbug and any other artist that’s doing their thing with a pencil or paint brush.
“1000 Words” Painting

Barton Damer is what is great about the human spirit. Being a transplant form the D.C. area to DFW, Barton used a situation that would normally put others on their back to build a mini empire. He shares with Cosign what it’s like to be a self-made artistic mastermind, and gives us some stuff to chew on. When did you know that you were going to create and design art for a living? I was in college and I blew out my ACL skateboarding so I took an intro to art class. The only way I could meet people was on the basketball court or through skateboarding, and since I blew out my ACL I couldn’t do either. This happened three weeks into my freshman year of college. Not being able to skate or play ball was laid up in my dorm room so I ended up taking a strong interest into the intro to art class I enrolled in and started pouring hours into hours into the project we had been assigned. Then the teacher told me I should change my major to commercial art so that’s what I did. After I graduated, I started working for a design firm out of D.C. doing typical boring corporate design work. The crazy thing is things didn’t start sparking up for me in the design world until 10 years into my career. Six years into doing design for corporate jobs I got real bored with graphic design. I really didn’t ever have aspirations for one day working with Nike. I discovered motion design and fell in love with it, but had no idea really what it was. Then a friend of mine did a really cool motion reel for this company called Shiloh and I knew that’s what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, motion graphics. I started incorporating motion design with my print design and make 3D artwork so my work began to be the best that I’ve ever done.
I didn’t go to a traditional art school, what I tell people is that if you are out of college for 4 years; then you are self-taught. Designs change rapidly and there are always new things and new programs to learn. If you solely rely on your degree you will be outdated. You have to progress and keep learning on your own. What is it like for you to work with awesome brands and people such as Rob Dyrdek, Nike, Lil Wayne, Supra etc.? Its amazing man, you’re working with people that you look up to and highly respect, and the ability to collaborate with them is awesome, so there is much more trust on both sides compared to a large corporate company. With corporate jobs you end up doing work that you wouldn’t typically do because they may have whack ideas and leave no room for creativity. Also, working with art directors and creative directors with companies like Nike and Supra, you have to be strong and not take it personal if they change up your idea but you respect it because it’s a learning process.
Do you have any technical training with motion design or were you self-taught? With motion design I was all self taught.
We noticed that your design for Lil Wayne was hand chosen by Mr. Weezy F. Baby himself. Was that a big accomplishment for you? That was in the early stage of me learning some 3D work and I was still employed by a corporate company. So it helped give me some confidence. He printed trucker hats with my design and tees which were sold at his major tour after his release from jail.
What college did you attend originally for your art degree?
It’s such an accomplishment to one day leave your 9-5 job to be self employed. What was your defining
moment when you knew, it was time for you to leave corporate America, and start your company Already Been Chewed? A couple of things led up to that. My advice to people, so that they don’t do anything irrational, is that I was making 75% of my income working 15hrs a week on freelance. It got to the point where I was tacking on 15 hours a week to the 40 hour work week making just as much at my job. So it started to become a no brainer and I was like whoa! Imagine if I was working 30 hours a week compared to 15 hours a week on my own stuff. Also, my freelance work not only was bringing in income, it was also bringing in a lot of recognition which led to other projects being featured in computer arts magazine. But, to be more direct with your question I was working a full time job and I entered a piece I did for the band Wolf Mother; it was an Australian tour poster, I entered it into a competition with computer arts magazine. I ended up winning 1st place and became artist of the year and received a feature in computer arts. That was a moment of clarity and my work was starting to blow up. So I had a moment where I thought 1 of 2 things can happen; I won this award and it’s just going to sit on my desk and collect dust or I can ride the momentum of it. So a light bulb went off and I wanted to keep going in this direction and see where my work would take me. How do you market yourself being that you are residing in Dallas and not a huge market like LA, New York, or Miami? I use the internet and social media for all of my business. I also hired John to help me so I could create more and work more with my clients. We haven’t really gone out yet and look for projects. Word
of mouth has been our best advertising. Rob Dyrdek was different I wrote out an entire pitch for Street League before I even met him. When street league first started John and I flew out there and we skated and, I told John one day “I’m going to create motion graphics for street league”. About 2 years later I’ve been working with a lot of skate brands most known would be DGK. One of my goals was to hit up my contacts in the skate industry to see how I can get in contact with Rob Dyrdek because I really wanted to do something with street league. But, it’s really difficult to get a hold of Rob or get In his circle and break into his world, so no one could really help me out. So I typed up a proposal and explained why “Street League” needs to be branded by a skateboarder for a skateboarder because the 1st two season’s “Street League” was branded by non skateboarders and it was pretty obvious. I explained my resume and background stating how you’ll get professionalism from a skateboarder. Then I sent it to hundreds of email addresses I thought could be Rob Dyrdek’s email address since I didn’t know his exact email address. All of them pretty much bounced back, but then the next day I got an email from Rob Dyrdek that pretty much said, “Let’s do it.” Three hours later the general manager of Street League hit me up said congrats and that your chances of winning the lottery was better than getting Robs attention but you got it. I started doing projects on and off with them and now I did the whole 2012 season and on board to do next year season. Supra is kind of a similar story.
I skate all the time but at the very moment I just had micro fracture knee surgery so I’m still recovering from that. But, I skate all the time. First love skating or designing? Definitely skating , I was always into art, graphics, designing, and graffiti but, it wasn’t until I blew out my knee in college when I decided to pursue art. Would you ever leave all of your artistic endeavors behind to become a pro skater? Never dude. I don’t envy any pro skater those guys have to jump down huge hand rails in arenas filled with thousands of people. That doesn’t even sound like fun to me, maybe when I was 20. My dream would be an NBA player though. I wouldn’t even want to be a superstar just maybe the 7th or 8th guy off the bench. No pressure to perform and no pressure of getting cut. Tell us a few things about Barton Damer! When I’m in my creative zone I listen to Kanye West, Rick Ross, Wolf Mother, Led Zeppelin, and Lecrae. My favorite pair of shoes are the Nike Dunks and Supra Skytops 3. The last thing I bought was an Oakland Raiders snapback.
That’s an amazing and inspiring story that displays dedication and persistency. Congrats brethren. Are you still an active skater or is your work schedule too hectic?

The Ch
and Interview
y: Words b
Thanks for taking the time out of your life and doing this interview. It’s been a minute since the masses have seen you on VH1 in Real Chance of Love & I love Money 2. What have you been up to since then? I have been traveling a lot doing appearances, videos, magazines, and enjoying life! Now I’m back on my grind trying to get back on a show. Mainly mainstream and real acting roles. A lot of people also recognize you from your HOT sex scene in “Next Day Air.” Was that role comfortable for you or did you have any hesitation about taking the gig? (Hahaha) It wasn’t a “sex scene” because I didn’t have sex!! Lmao. I did take off my shirt and make out with a girl so I would say it’s sexy but not sex lol. To be honest it wasn’t uncomfortable and during filming I thought it was going straight to dvd anyways, so I wasn’t tripping. Plus Mike Epps and Wood Harris were totally professional and fun to be around so it wasn’t uncomfortable! The part I was nervous about though was when I found out it made it to theaters! Haha . I was happy but a little nervous too. Do you feel that it is difficult to go from being a reality star to an actress or has the transition been smooth for you? The casting directors’ definitely don’t care bout reality stars! They care more about TALENT!! So people that go from reality star and want to do acting its not easy at all!! It is however, good for networking and you do meet very important people in the game. What’s your first love modeling or acting? Definitely acting!! I’m not into modeling or shoots! Ask any photographers I’ve worked with, I’m in and out!! I hate photo shoots but it comes with the industry.

K.G.
We’ve been checking your twitter and instagram out a lot and noticed you have a good ear for music. Who are some of your favorite artists? I love rap!! And i love trap music! Lol I know it doesn’t look like it but I’m kind of tomboyish in a lot of ways! I love artist that aren’t mainstream such as Don Trip, Alley Boy, and Fat Trel. I also love Future, Jeezy, French Montana and artists in that category. What would be your dream modeling or acting job? I would love a role on a TV series like, “The Game” or big movies with Mr. Denzel Washington himself! What are some misconceptions people have about you? They think I’m stuck up, they think reality stars/ video girls are gold diggers and ball chasers. I’m real humble, cool, and I have dated in the industry, but I’ve always made my own money so I’m definitely not a gold digger. Name 3 words that describe you best? Sarcastic, romantic, and exotic!! So when are you coming to Dallas? lol You have to come now. (Hahaha) I been there few times and hosted at Opus twice! I been to Onyx and had some fun! Dallas definitely shows me love. I’ll be back soon!! Tell our readers your website, twitter, and instagram? www.thisiscaliluv.com, @thisiscaliluv (twitter and IG)

[WOW].Weed.Over.War!! The young 22 yr-old rapper “Yung Biz” chants in an interview speaking of his departure from the U.S Army. The young lyricist stated that he would continue his service in the military if the use marijuana was allowed. We interviewed Quashawn Yung Biz” Cypress to find out more about his background and where he came from to his journey thus far and where he is now. How did you end up in Texas? The military. I was stationed at Ft. Hood so I networked and made connections because I knew I wouldn’t be here forever. Texas is a great state if you know the right people. What are some inspirations? For music? umm...music!! I am inspired by the work of other artist...good and bad. I enjoy the lyrical content of the ones I consider to be very talented and I also enjoy the tunes of the artist that doesn’t really have anything to talk about but they still make good songs. Why the sudden boost in effort towards your music? Well with my separation from the military which is a pretty stable job, I’m heading back to the “real world” where things are a bit harder for young black males. I possess a talent that I choose to use as a hustle. I’m not looking for a record deal..I’m looking to create a big enough buzz so I can really charge for shows. And most of all..my family’s struggle right now motivates me to make millions. One way or another Where do you see yourself 5yrs from now? Wealthy. Music isn’t the only thing going for me right now. I just got into marketing & managing. Making music shouldn’t be a sole career for ANYONE..it isn’t really a backbone in the industry...that is why artist make investments. I believe in doing things legally first. There is always a right way to make money. Where Can we find your music? SoundCloud search “Party Team” or “Yung Biz”. I’ll be uploading my next mixtape entitled “Shark Week” on to livemixtapes on Nov. 5th 2012. You Can follow me on twitter @partyteambiz for updates

AUSTIN PANAMANIAN FAMILY REUNION was a spectacular show for all ages. Each year in Austin, Texas Panamanians from Dallas, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, and Killeen gather together for a friendly Carnaval competition, which is sponsored by Mrs. Berta Lord, Dorrell Lord, Oscar Gumbs, and Eva Grantaton. They create a traditional Panamanian environment for Panamanians all around Texas to unite, dance, and entertain by various artists. This year’s performance was a popular Panamanian native, Mr. Alfredito Payne, which flew in directly from Panama for this event. Music was provided by PanamaAustin #1 –Dj Chris. This year competition was between Los Salsosos de Killeen and Los Pariocas de Austin, Dallas was not present this year. Each city brings their reigning queen with their comparsa group in full Panamanian costume, floats, dancers, and sometimes their own band.
Los Salsosos de Killeen, Texas under the direction of Rosa Carr and Carmen Graham, were victorious; it was a clean sweep for the group based out of Killeen, the biggest-little city in Texas. Miss 16 year-old Nathalie Carr, from Killeen, won overall queen and her Comparsa (Dance group) won best group performance and best costume, which was designed by her mother Rosa Carr. Los Salsosos de Killeen represented all nine providences of Panama’s folklore. The parade opened up with the queen and king of Congo. Diablitos de espejo ( Mirror Devils), Diablitos sucios (Dirty Devils), polleras, and montunos, were some of the traditional costumes represented this evening. The children of Los Salsosos de Killeen were in full traditional attire representing the abundance of panama, by wearing fishermen costumes and butterflies. The queen looked astonishing in full queen Carnaval attire from head to toe she glittered and shined with clarity. Most of the costumes were made by Rosa and Carmen. Los Salsosos de Killeen would like to thank all of the adults, parents, children, and the stars of panama for participating in this successful event. They would like to welcome and invite all interested in the Panamanian culture to come attend and celebrate the Austin Panamanian Family Reunion Show. Come learn see, eat, and experience our culture, taste our food, purchase our art, and embellish our attire, and our love of music. Look them up on www. austinpanamanianfamilyreunion.com and see why we #COSIGN the Panamanian culture.

Tattoo DO’S AND DON’TS BY CELEBRITY HOUSTON TATTOO ARTIST AND AUTHOR | KEVO
Tattoo lovers out there, we see so many people with horrible tattoos and we need to stop the madness. Don’t just get a tattoo because you saw someone else get one. I’ll help you with a few tips.
DO
Look up the artist you go to, and compare their pictures with tattoos that you think look nice.
DON’T
3
Go copy someone else’s tattoo, its rude, and unoriginal.
DO
Promote your tattoo artist! You might make them famous and end up getting freebies!
DONT
Complain about a price if their work is worth it. If you negotiate, don’t be too dramatic. You get what you pay for, not saying don’t negotiate a price. You will be surprised how many artists like to tattoo just for the art, and not the money. I’m not saying be cheap, but real artists are reasonable.
DO
Let the artist be an artist. Some artists are being lazy when they give you a second opinion, but a real artist will show you examples.
DONT
Get a tattoo by anyone who you don’t see open a needle, needles are packaged separately.
4
DO
Let their pictures do the talking.
DONT
Listen to a tattoo artist just because they sound like they know what they’re talking about.
NEVER GET ANYONES NAME TATTOOED ON YOUR SKIN.
You DONT want a tattoo by someone who can’t draw, so here’s one of my drawings.
Love is temporary, tattoos are permanent.
DONT
DO
Consider watching tattoo TV shows, that way you can know what a good tattoo looks like.
AGAIN, I REPEAT. Don’t get your lovers name. One thing you may want to DO is make sure the artist can DRAW. Who wants a tattoo if the “artist” can’t create through their own imagination?

“WHY THEY CHEAT……& CHEAT AGAIN” BY COSIGN MAG
MEN LACK OF SEX/NO SEX
Women, women, women. How many times have you came home from work had to cook dinner Iron clothes etc. etc. etc. The night is approaching your man takes a shower , lays in the bed next to you wanting you, needing you desiring you, and all you can think about is…damn I’m not in the mood, what excuse can I tell him. So you think real quickly and say babe not tonight I’m tired or I have a headache. He’s ok with it because he loves you but when your relationship began y’all were inseparable every free moment you had you were grinding on each other like 16 year old teenagers on prom night. Having sex every night 2-3 times a night turns into once a night, then every other night, then 3 times a week, to once a week. Next thing you know your sex life is non-existent. Do you think that’s ok? He doesn’t, not when there are plenty of girls lusting him and wanting him with no strings attached. Willing to satisfy every naughty thought he’s ever had without the stress of wandering if she’s in the mood or too tired. Ladies what you won’t do, I guarantee she will at the drop of a dime.
CURIOSITY
Whoever said there is no harm in fantasizing is a DAMN lie. You ever look at a woman and wonder what it would be like to date her, kiss her, and eventually sleep with her? But, you believe since you are not acting on it, it is ok. Now every time you see her, the conversations are cordial, but the thoughts are, oh so different. You wonder if she wears lingerie, or if she likes R.Kelly. Thoughts are still innocent because they are only thoughts, nothing wrong with a little day dreaming. Until one day, you and her are left alone late after work and she makes a comment that shows interest. Your fantasy turns into curiosity, and now that you know she is interested it’s no longer a thought, it could be an action. Yes, you may love your significant other, but this woman is mysterious, she’s different, she’s a Greek goddess and you want to explore, you are curious. Now, the deed is done and you are no longer curious. Was it worth it? Well, I guess you would only know.
PEER PRESSURE
Now I know everyone is thinking my man is a grown man he better not fall into peer pressure. Well, ladies before you met Mr. Perfect, he was a dog; a bulldog, a big dog, a little dog, a pit-bull, a dog in its purest form. Your man even may have once had a reputation of being a ladies man. It might have been his natural talent pursuing woman and conquering their minds, body, and soul. But, now he is settled. He traded his Friday night bar hops in for a night of scattegories with the wifey and drinking white wine. He no longer goes to frat parties he attends baby showers with his boo thing. You may be ecstatic but is he? Do you find yourself wandering about what the guys do or talk about on dudes night out that he receives once a month? Well, I’ll tell you. They are talking about their past conquests, who they would sleep with if they could, and how bad this chick really is. Then maybe at the next guys night out event they’re at a club and everyone is telling your man come on Bill, talk to her, “You use to get all the girls now you act like a girl.” Its only conversation, get her number. He doesn’t want to seem like a punk so he gets her number and its all downhill
from there. Now they say call her, text her, get a pic, its only lunch, a kiss, did you smash? Well, Bill still had it but will he still have you if he gets caught? Peer pressure, man up guys.
“I try not to cheat but when I get drunk..well, YOLO! #whymencheat” @-----_eal_yoGURL

BECAUSE WE CAN
Are you the sweet pushover girl? Are you afraid to tell your man to spend more time with you because you don’t want to come off as “clingy?” Does your man spend more time with his “bros” than his woman? Well, ladies this is not a good sign. If you keep traveling this road you are basically opening the door for the girls with no morals to slide in and share your place in his life. Too much freedom for a guy is not good. You let him do whatever he wants with no repercussion. So why wouldn’t he cheat? He will because he can and you are too timid to do anything about it. I bet you really believe he spends the night at his friend’s house a couple nights out the week because he’s “too tired” to drive home huh? If you believe that then you are allowing yourself to go from the main chick to side chick. Put your foot down, make some demands, and change this pattern before it turns too late.
ATTENTION SEEKING…
You’re probably thinking to yourself, “no she’d never….she couldn’t. Oh but she can, and she will IF you don’t take the necessary precautions in your relationship. Basically, NEVER get too comfortable. Be confident NOT comfortable. How often do you even acknowledge your other half? Women CRAVE attention!!!! That is the exact reason FB, INSTAGRAM, and all social media sites are so popular, (and why they show no sign of slowing down). Women want to be told they are beautiful, desired, and wanted. If we get it from the one whose opinion counts the most our ears become numb to the others. So remember what it took to get her and if she’s worth keeping, dive back into your romantic being and get it on and popping. What are you waiting for??? Text her beautiful- gorgeous ass rite now!!!!
WOMEN
BUYING THE BS
Silly nilly ladies, they are everywhere; and although they may not have a dime to spare, they always seem to have enough to buy some BULL-ish! As unfortunate as this situation is, it’s oh so commo. Iss your chick the one that really DOES believe his Maybach is parked in the garage because he doesn’t want to put miles on it??? Or that the reason he never answers his phone is because he is tied up in major investment meetings with Edward Jones all day??? No wait, he is here on R&R, yea that’s right…becasue he works overseas!!! And he’s going to fly YOUR chick to Dubai, yup…after he SMASHES then disappears off the face of the planet!!! Be a good judge of character, it doesn’t take a genius to know if your chick buys the BS…look no one has to know, this hoe can’t be saved thoug….get rid of her a** and do it FAST!!! As far as anyone who needs to know, shiiiiit yo momma didn’t like her, and we’ll cosign for you!
BOREDOM
Hard to believe, yet sometimes true...WE WOMEN GET BORED TOO!!! And for the get bored quick chicks, having someone on the side as an action star stunt double, is like an ice cold glass of lemonade on a hot ass Texas day. That man that takes it, flips it, KILLS it and always keeps you guessing??? Yea, that beast leaves NO time for boredom; and after slaving away in the kitchen on top of four loads of whites, we could use the thrill. So please daddy, be the man that does all his own stunts ;).
DRUNK
Oh to be young again, free of worries and those dreadful “to-do” lists. Isn’t that why we meet up with our home girls at the club/bar on a Saturday night? True. But, one innocent night can go horribly bad after one too many shots of patron. The unfathomable, dreadful, “can’t ever take it bac!” crie has been committed. ADULTERY. And this, is some serious -ish. Good luck with that one!
LURED (The Glitz & Glam)
Hmmm....is the grass greener over there? For a professional “smasher”, luring a female to find out the answer to that question is like giving candy to a baby. The glitz and the glam lead many to believe their one way ticket to “the good life” has finally arrived. And for a dude that actually is well off, it’s nothing for them to blow some cash for that a**. You hold her on a pedestal and he’s dropping the “last night was great, don’t call me I’ll call you line”. (sigh, smh) Tragedy. Loyal women are a dying bread, 50 may have asked 21 questions for a hook, but those questions were REAL. The one that aces that test is your ride or die, that bitch can’t be lured by shhiiiiit!

YEAHHH YEA DOE! YEAHHHYEAHHHDOE! Some things naturally have a way of working themselves out .With a music industry that’s safe to say is full and saturated with artist trying to claw themselves out from the underground, Tum Tum aka Tumzilla is setting a fire with his new single, “Yeah Doe” which is spreading through the country in rapid fashion, reminding us that Dallas hip hop is nowhere near finished. Receiving help from his label mates Tum Tum is destroying all radio competition with his lead single, “Yea Doe” featuring Dorrough Music, B. Hamp, and Big Tuck produced by Bux. With dallas slang being as addictive as cake to a fat kid you can hear the phrase, “Yea Doe” repeated at the end of every sentence like it is parallel to a period. “I got the saying Yeah Doe from my homie, T. Balla, back in 2006,” says Tum. Interview and Words by: K.G. Graham
A LOT OF TEAMS/LABEL MOVEMENTS ARE MAKING NOISE LIKE YMCMB, MMG, AND TAYLOR GANG. WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM HULK ENTERTAINMENT AND D.C.C (Dallas City Council)? Hulk and D.C.C are going to give you the same work ethic that those crews do. We are just coming from a Texas point of view. We’re bringing that Texas flavor back to the spotlight. WE’VE BEEN A DSR/TBG/DCC FAN FROM THE BEGINNING? BESIDED CAPRICE MUZIK HOW DOES IT FEEL TO HAVE RADIO PLAY NOT ONLY IN DALLAS BUT ACROSS THE REGION AND NATION? Feels great to know that the music we make is being played all over the world. Writing a song in Dallas and performing it all around the globe is fucking dope.
WE’VE SEEN ARTISTS IN DALLAS AND TEXAS PERIOD COME AND GO? HOW DO YOU STAY CONSISTENT? I stay current with the music and with the blog sites. To me you have to work radio, streets, and the internet. Work with the new talent too and be DIFFERENT. WHAT’S YOUR 3 FAVORITE TATTS? Live Life, Believe, and Prayed Up and K’D Up. BUDGET IS NO ISSUE. WHO WOULD YOU GET TO PRODUCE YOUR LEADING SINGLE AND WHAT 3 FEATURES WOULD YOU HAVE? ALSO, THE NAME OF THE SONG AND THE CONCEPT BEHIND IT? Bob Marley on the hook, Biggie, and Pac. That’s Dope as fuck.
