The client requested a design proposal which would satisfy the requirements for the official residence of the Spanish Ambassador’s home and retreat serving both the enterprise and political activity. Flexibilities and opportunities for extension were necessary due to the changing needs of this diplomatic position. Within the building, references to the Spanish Mediterranean architecture are made, through the intersticial spaces, the intermediate spaces between the exterior and the interior, and the addition of the patios, terraces and porches.
