Interior of an extinguished Lighthouse. Once a living cell, now a broken lamp. Like unexplored terrain of our inner lives - unapproachable (inaccessible) and at the mercy of the weather. Snakelike stairways that define helical perspectives in the center parts of the octagonal tower. Arched and straight sections, rectangular marbles and curved iron bars, material filings and scales from eroded surfaces, compose cubist abandonment frames and black and white abstract forms. When nothing changes except the corners of the light the way that it diffuses from the half-closed windows and gives duration to the instantaneous impressions.
Εσωτερικό ενός σβησμένου Φάρου. Άλλοτε κύτταρο ζωής, τώρα φανός σπασμένος. Όπως οι ανεξερεύνητες εσωτερικές τοποθεσίες – δυσπρόσιτος και στο έλεος του καιρού. Οφιοειδή κλιμακοστάσια που ορίζουν ελικοειδείς προοπτικές στα μέσα μέρη του οκτάγωνου πύργου. Τόξα κι ευθύγραμμα τμήματα, μάρμαρα παραλληλόγραμμα και καμπύλες σιδεριές, ρινίσματα υλικών και λέπια από διαβρωμένες επιφάνειες, συνθέτουν κυβιστικά κάδρα εγκατάλειψης και ασπρόμαυρες αφηρημένες φόρμες. Όταν τίποτε δεν μεταβάλλεται εκτός από τις γωνίες του φωτός έτσι που διαχέεται από τα μισόκλειστα παράθυρα και δίνει διάρκεια στις στιγμιαίες αποτυπώσεις.

Costas Papageorgiou was born in Athens – Greece. He is a Physicist (University of Ioannina) with a graduate degree from the Hellenic Open University. He studied classical guitar and music theory. He has written music for the theater. Since 2009 he has been involved in photography and video art installations and participated in solo and group exhibitions in Greece, Cyprus and Austria. His photographs belong to private collections in Greece and abroad. Ο Κώστας Παπαγεωργίου γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα. Είναι Φυσικός (Πανεπιστήμιο Ιωαννίνων) με μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στο ΕΑΠ. Σπούδασε κλασική κιθάρα και θεωρητικά της μουσικής. Συνθέτει μουσική για το θέατρο από το 1985. Από το 2009 ασχολείται ενεργά με τη φωτογραφία και video εγκαταστάσεις, με συχνή παρουσία σε ατομικές και ομαδικές εκθέσεις σε Ελλάδα, Κύπρο και Αυστρία. Έργα του υπάρχουν σε ιδιωτικές συλλογές στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό.
