Designed in Belgium, most of Stanley/Stella’s collection is proudly made in Bangladesh, meeting Fair Wear Foundation’s and International Labour Organisation conditions of labour.

OUR SOCIAL COMPLIANCE COMMITMENT Stanley/Stella is only working with State-of-the art factories, which all strictly apply the Code of Conduct from the International Labour Organisation (ILO). We ensure that workers are decently paid, that there is no gender discrimination, and also that building and fire safety standards are followed completely. A Stanley/Stella team of 15 persons in Dhaka has a daily control on these demanding requirements in each of our partners factories. To help us to achieve our high social standards, we are an active member of the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF), a Dutch independent organization aiming at improving workers conditions of labour in the garment industry worldwide. We are highly rated by FWF (Leader company) as they recognize our real commitment and the positive impact of our concrete local actions. The eight standards at the heart of the FWF Code of Labour Practices include: employment is freely chosen, no discrimination in employment, reasonable working hours, no exploitation of child labour, freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining, payment of a living wage, safe and healthy working conditions and a legally binding employment relationship.

100% OF OUR COTTON IS ORGANIC CERTIFIED Stanley/Stella is proudly associated with the following labels related to its use of Organic Cotton. Gots: High-level standards, environmental criteria for textiles made from 100% Organic fibres OCS 100: Certifies that the product is made with 100% Organic Cotton OCS Blended: Applies to all goods that contain a mix of Organic Cotton blended with other fabrics such as recycled polyester, natural fibre like linen, Lenzing Modal® or Tencel®. Health safety is also a big concern. Stanley/Stella goes for Oeko Tex that controls and limits chemical use during the whole production process. Oeko Tex is an independent testing and certification system for textile products.

SOFT, SUSTAINABLE AND PREMIUM RAW MATERIAL Stanley/Stella fabrics are made of organic or natural and sustainable certified fibres, chosen with consideration for their contemporary style. Learn more about our other raw material. Linen is one of the most ecological fibres. Produced with few fertilizers, using little energy or water while needing the minimum amount of textile dyeing process in comparison with other fabrics. Lenzing Modal® is a regenerated cellulose fibre made from sustainable forest plantations of beech wood trees transformed into pulp and fibre. Lenzing Modal® is soft touch for the skin and easy to wear, without the need for ironing. Tencel® is a fibre that comes from the pulp of trees (mainly eucalyptus) that are grown on sustainable run farms certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). The benefits of using Tencel® include the traceable and sustainable origin of the wood pulp, and the use of non-toxic chemicals and solvent in the fibre processing. In addition, Tencel® is a high-tenacity cellulose fibre, which gives high strength properties to the fabric. This results in a silky soft, perfectly smooth feel that gives a superb depth of colour. The Recycled Polyester yarn comes from recycled PET bottles. 1kg of fabrics requires 35 bottles: for example, Stanley Breaks represents the equivalent of 7 PET. 229 /
