In a secret and swift election, the Knights of Malta elected an Englishman as their 79th grand master. Matthew Festing, who had been the Knights? grand prior of England, was chosen March 11 to replace Andrew W.N. Bertie, who died in February. Festing, 59, will head the world?s oldest chivalric order, founded in the 11th century. He is only the second Englishman to hold the post of grand master; Bertie was the first." ... " Festing, an expert in art and history, joined the Knights in 1977 and in 1991 became a ?professed? knight, taking religious vows. He is a descendent of Blessed Adrian Fortescue, a Knight of Malta who was martyred in the 16th century. As head of the English priory, Festing organized humanitarian assistance missions to Lebanon and Kosovo and led a delegation on the order?s annual pilgrimage with the sick to Lourdes." ... "The election of a grand master is a major event in Rome. Fifty electors, representing the 12,500 male and female members of the order, filed into the Knights? villa on Rome?s Aventine Hill, wearing their distinctive red robes decorated with the Maltese cross. The election, which began with a Mass, had similarities to a papal conclave. The grand master had to be chosen from among the order?s approximately 50 professed Knights." SMOM Grand Masters

Weyrich, who for years has represented the political interests of the Coors family in Washington, DC, sponsors the work of a convicted Nazi collaborator, Laszlo Pasztor, a Hungarian-American who is employed at FCF. The Coors-funded Heritage Foundation co-sponsored a 1989 forum with a pro-Nazi group, the Anti-Bolshevik Bloc of Nations. The false front "conservative" Heritage Foundation is controlled by British Intelligence(MI6). Coors family funding continues to flow toward rightist groups, and the family's political involvement plays a crucial role in the establishment and maintenance of key organizations defining the political dialogue for both the New Right and the Religious Right. Ironically, the family derives the bulk of its wealth from working-class and middle-class people who purchase Coors beer products. The Coors family, through its political operations, then uses its share of the profits from beer sales to perpetuate and encourage regressive governmental and social policies serving only the narrow interests of a handful of the very wealthy in this country. That they are able to cloud this reality is due to the Coors Corporation's high-visibility advertising campaign. The Coors family is highly influential in shaping the activities of three organizational pillars of the New Right--the Heritage Foundation, the Free Congress Foundation (FCF) and the Council for National Policy (CNP)--which comprise an influential force in Washington, DC. It involvement with these key groups provides the Coors family with a conservative political base. From this base, the family is connected to prominent activists in other New Right organizations, to groups on the Religious Right, and to allies in governmental agencies and in Congress. Working the high-level inside track on these personnel hirings was Reagan's "Kitchen Cabinet," of which Joe Coors was probably the best known member. A Reagan loyalist since the 1968 GOP convention, Coors began spending a lot of time in Washington, D.C. and the White House. The attempt at governance by the Kitchen Cabinet became so elaborate that they actually established an office in the Executive Office Building across from the White House. Embarrassed by the image of a covey of millionaires seeming to run parallel and sometimes conflicting personnel recruitment operations, senior White House staff produced legal opinions saying that it was illegal for a private group to occupy government property, in this case a White House office. Although Coors produced a legal opinion arguing there was no violation of law, Coors and friends were evicted. Heritage could hardly claim diminished relations with the Reagan Administration, however, as an estimated two-thirds of its Mandate recommendations were adopted in the first year of the Administration. Further, Heritage was using a letter of endorsement from White House Chief of Staff Ed Meese in a December 1981 fundraising effort. What is not so widely known is that Rhodes in five previous wills left his fortune to form a secret society, which was to devote itself to the preservation and expansion of the British Empire. And what does not seem to be known to anyone is that this secret society was created by Rhodes and his principal trustee, Lord Alfred Milner, and continues to exist to this day. To be sure, this secret society is not a childish thing like the Ku Klux Klan, and it does not have any secret robes, secret handclasps, or secret passwords. It does not need any of these, since its members know each other intimately. It probably has no oaths of secrecy nor any formal procedure of initiation. It does, however, exist and holds secret meetings, over which the senior member present presides." - from Carroll Quigley's "Tragedy & Hope" • "Cecil family" ♦ "Also note how very little people know of the Cecil family. German born as Prince Bernhard zur Lippe-Biesterfeld, he joined the nazi party in the early 1930?s, eventually donning the SS uniform. By 1935 he was gainfully employed in I.G. Farben?s intelligence department NW7. His match to Princess Juliana, the daughter of the Dutch Queen Wilhelmina, was reportedly arranged by Farben director, Gerhard Fritze, a relative of NW7?s chief, Max Ilgner. At their marriage ceremony, the Prince?s closest friends struck up the old favourite, the Horst Wessel song, which was the anthem of the Nazis. Shortly after the marriage, the noble prince travelled to Berlin for a private meeting with Hitler, who had publicly intimated that the marriage represented an alliance between both nations - which was refuted by Queen Willhelmina. More telling was the fact that when he arrived in England, after the outbreak of war, and asked to work in British intelligence, his offer was declined by the Admiralty, because they didn?t trust him. Nor did the Supreme Allied Commander, General Dwight Eisenhower who refused him access to sensitive intelligence information. However, with the intervention of King George on Prince Bernhard?s behalf, he was eventually allowed to work in war planning councils. Whoops. Moving on quickly; to understand the very special relationship between Prince Bernhard and General Walter Bedell Smith ? who most certainly had complete access general Eisenhower?s intelligence - we need to advance several years. After the war, Prince Bernhard is believed to have been profitably employed dealing in art stolen during the war. Sonderman, who Prince Bernhard described as the ?best friend I ever had? (presumably Adolf had by then been forgotten?), acted as the prince?s private pilot for transporting stolen art, according to Ton Biesemaat, who has written an expose of the art ring called ?The Correggio Mystery." ... "Another of those seemingly involved in this stolen art-trading ring was Hungarian nobleman, Prince Alfred zur Lippe-Weissenfeld, a relative of Prince Bernhard. By another of those remarkable coincidences, Prince Alfred?s daughter was the wife of Baron Hans Heinrich Thyssen-Bornemisza de Karzon, son of Fritz Thyssen?s brother and heir to the Thyssen family fortune." ... "Prince Bernhard?s family relationship with that of the Thyssen?s may go some way to explain why, in 1945, together with a unit of Dutch intelligence, Prince Bernhard travelled to the Russian zone in Berlin to recover a batch of buried ?incriminating corporate papers? belonging to Fritz Thyssen, that evidenced ?secret Thyssen ownership.? This small favour was carried out under the Bilderberg Group

911:Knights_of_Malta pretext that the daring Prince was recovering the Dutch crown jewels stolen by the Nazis. The papers were returned to Holland and deposited in the Bank voor Handel en Scheepvaart, in Rotterdam, which was secretly owned by Thyssen. Known as Operation Juliana this cunning scheme was a body blow to Allied investigators who were anxiously seeking the ?missing pieces of the Thyssen fortune.? The US attorney to the Rotterdam bank was Allen Dulles, who had migrated from the OSS office in Bern, Switzerland, to become the US intelligence chief in post-war Germany." ♦ "Bernhard von Lippe-Biesterfeld: The Nazi Prince" ♦ to research: ◊ His alleged "Stadhoudersbrief" to Hitler ⋅ google links ◊ NOS photos ◊ Lockheed bribing scandal ◊ Greet-Hofmans scandal
