on march 23, 2020, connecticut governor ned lamont’s stay-at-home order went into effect. the pandemic-induced shift in social contexts rendered an adjustment in how i express my style. apathy and stagnation have impacted my clothing choices, which in turn affect the outfits i’m putting together. dressy blouses feel like an indulgent luxury as i stick to mostly t-shirts for now. i’ve refrained from unnecessary outings, developing dusty shoes and a regular rotation of loungewear. i’m neglecting my usual color palette. this is not a list of pieces in a capsule wardrobe, nor is it an exhaustive log of all my closet items. this is an_(invent)ory of things i’m wearing during these first couple of months in covid-19 quarantine: an invented & inventive itemization. the data enclosed was first selected based on whether the clothing piece has become a sort of “staple” for me during this time. the data was then qualified by a created correlation to a different set of data.
