on march 23, 2020, connecticut governor ned lamont’s stay-at-home order went into effect. the pandemic-induced change in living circumstances required an adjustment in how i consider food. fears and anxieties have impacted my grocery choices, which in turn affect the meals i’m preparing. fresh fruit feels like a risky delicacy as i stick to canned ones for now. i’ve restrained from ordering from restaurants, developing a routine diet of attempts at new recipes and instant ramen. i’m growing my own green onion. this is not a list of food stocked in a bunker, nor is it an exhaustive log of all my kitchen items. this is an_(invent)ory of things i’m eating during these first couple of months in covid-19 quarantine: an invented & inventive itemization. the data enclosed was first selected based on whether the food product has become a sort of “staple” for me during this time. the data was then qualified by a created correlation to a different set of data.
