NEW FOR 2021, our Heritage Wood Crafts Zone celebrates traditional skills, including basket and brush making, plant supports and skeps, all handmade from natural materials. Meet talented craftspeople at work, including Steve Overthrow making riddles and sieves, basket maker Jane Welsh, Vix and Robbie of The Foraging Kitchen, sharing bee keeping advice and what you can gather from the hedgerow and John Williamson from Dartmoor Woodcraft demonstrating the ancient art of making charcoal. Inspired by the Queen’s official birthday on the second day of the festival, Saturday, 12 June, we have a Giant Floral Crown on display, created by the talented folk from the British Academy of Floral Art, with British blooms sourced from globally renowned Devon nursery, Whetmans and Flowers from the Farm.
