DON’T DELAY...

If you’re not looking to wait the standard 18 months to two years to tie the knot, help is on hand at the gorgeous Talhenbont Hall in North Wales. The venue’s three-day wedding celebration package is currently available exclusively for all remaining dates in 2023, February 2024 and March 2024, and is priced at £14,999.

The package includes all the essentials across your three-day hire of the venue including a bar night before the wedding in the beautiful Coach House. Everyone will be well fed and watered as the price includes a food and drinks package for 70 guests with a glass of prosecco for the drinks reception, a glass of house white for the wedding breakfast, and a further glass of prosecco for the toasts; a three-course wedding breakfast (from menu one); and evening food from the hot batch menu.

As you’ll be enjoying the venue for three days, there is of course somewhere to rest your heads. The Elizabethan manor sleeps 10 people for the night before and the night of your wedding. You’ll check in at 3pm the day before and check out at the same time the day after, so there’s no need to rush off, which is ideal as a lie in may well be in order!

The amazing Firework Champions is coming to Arley Hall in Cheshire on 12th August, featuring no fewer than four fantastic displays from three of the UK’s best firework companies who will compete with a 10-minute show each. The event is the only one of its type in the UK and visitors will have the chance to vote for the team they loved the most using their phones.

You can take your own picnic along or grab something tasty from one of the onsite vendors, and be entertained before the main event kicks off by bouncy castles, rides and music. Gates open for entry, music and interviews at 4pm and close at 9pm when the teams are announced. There’ll be a drone light show, weather permitting from 7.30pm and the first display will begin at 9.30pm.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Churchtown Wedding Cars is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary. The company was established in 1993, and in 2015 current owners Steven and Laura bought the business from founders Roy and Pat. The pair initially took on their beautiful silver Beaufort Tourer, but having expanded the fleet since then, they can now also offer two Imperial Landaulettes and a 1975 VW Camper.

Cheshire Pony Parties has created a new service providing ponies to carry champagne and/or confetti at weddings. Business owner, Amanda Keech told us: “I was approached recently by a Londonbased wedding planner to provide a pony to carry champagne at a prestigious wedding venue in Cheshire. It inspired me to put my 14 years of experience delivering professionally organised, highend, engaging pony and unicorn parties with wow factor, to create a new service offering ponies for weddings.”

The wedding ponies, including adorable Skittles (pictured), will be able to cover Cheshire and occasionally surrounding counties, carrying either bubbly for the newlyweds while you’re having your photos taken, and/or confetti for the guests to throw post ceremony. They’re a gorgeous extra to any country wedding for animal lovers. Amanda continues, “I wanted the ponies to have a stunningly simple country look, so was delighted to find some gorgeous tiny wicker baskets just big enough to carry a champagne bottle.” Cuteness overload!

Beauty In The City

One of the newest and most exciting beauty shows is due to hit the Exhibition Centre Liverpool on 4th and 5th November, 2023. The National Beauty Show will play host to salon owners, beauticians, nail technicians and beauty fans from across the UK, who’ll be able to see more than 200 of the biggest names in beauty, wellness, cosmetics and aesthetics. You can can also expect to enjoy live demonstrations on beauty trends, new techniques, and product launches as well as masterclasses, celebrity guests and podcast recordings from the best in the business. So, if your mind is on bridal beauty right now, you won’t want to miss this!

The National Beauty Show was conceived by two female beauty entrepreneurs from Liverpool. Jody Riley is a former beautician turned beauty tech entrepreneur and the face of beauty booking app PamperBook/Cliquesy; and Alex Alexander, owner of Lex Cosmetics, can list among her clients celebrities, the rich, and the famous. The Liverpool duo, who’ve previously run events together, teamed up last year when they launched the National Beauty Awards 2022 to huge sell-out success.

Commenting on the forthcoming Show, Jody says, “The response we’ve had from across the beauty and cosmetics industry to attend and support this event has been truly amazing. There’s a huge amount of excitement for the city with Liverpool showcasing itself to the world with Eurovision and being rated as one of the top tourist destinations in the UK.
