Ifeel really lucky to have been able to work on Your East Anglian Wedding for the last two issues, it’s been a pleasure. After the legend that was Sarah Reeve, who had been on the title for many a year and moved on to pastures new in October 2022, there was only one option for me: I wanted to look after the readers, advertisers and wedding industry friends until I knew you would be in safe hands. Step up, the lovely Melissa Cullen. She’s taking a leap from editing Your Surrey Wedding, and moving up north oh very slightly, to take the helm of Your East Anglian Wedding. There’s only one thing I needed to say to her, ‘You’re going to love it!’. For a nature lover like me you’re blessed with the coast and countryside, with a town or two thrown in for some metropolitan vibes. The love of nature and sustainability has shone through in all the real weddings and features I’ve worked on in this short time. The venues are certainly to die for, from grand historic mansions to rustic barns and boutique hotels, there’s something for everyone and I’m going to miss learning more about the region. This issue, check out where to wed in North Norfolk on page 19, and if it’s a venue with history you’re looking for take a look at page 29. We love to champion local businesses here at Your East Anglian Wedding, and on page 67 to 71 we meet a handful of professionals in the local area. From showstopping separates to head-turning accessories, British brand The Pantry Bridalwear is doing things differently. First opening in the leafy town of Saffron Walden in 2019, its new home, as of September 2022, is in Cambridge city centre.
