BEAUTIFULLY BOHO

My wife-to-be and I are going for a relaxed bohemian theme for our wedding, but we don’t know where to start with our flowers – what would you suggest? It’s great that you and your wife already have a shared vision for your wedding day. The boho style can have many interpretations, so a great place to start is by doing your research online or in magazines. You can pull together examples of florals you like to get ideas of the colours and shapes you’re after.

When deciding what florists you’d like to approach, check out their social media pages or ask them to send you examples or their work.

My job as a florist is to guide you towards your vision; I’m here to help if you’re unsure where to start. I want to get to know my clients and hear about their lives and interests. We can use these as a starting point to inspire the designs for your day. Your wedding florals are a real collaboration, and any florist will want to ensure that your vision is met. ELIMINATE WEDDING STRESS

Our wedding is quickly approaching; what advice can you share for a stress-free day? Your wedding day should be the happiest day of your life, so feeling joyful and not stressed should be a top priority! Following these simple hints and tips will give you a day to remember for all the right reasons!  Be organised and create a checklist for the day to run smoothly.  Create a timeline, so everyone knows what’s going on throughout the day.  Make a wedding website with all the information people need to know before and on the big day. That way, you won’t get asked many

questions in the run-up to the event.  Enjoy some pamper time for yourself before the big day.  Allow your suppliers/venue to manage the order of the day.  Aim to be ready 30 minutes before your ceremony; this allows you to feel relaxed and no one is running around at the last minute.  The best and final advice for a stress-free wedding day is to relax as you’ve done everything possible to create the perfect day. Now is the time to enjoy yourself and be present in the moment. Charlotte Narciso | Barnsdale Gardens https://barnsdalegardens.co.uk/wedding

WALKING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND

We’re planning our winter wedding and I’m looking for the perfect look for the time of year, what hairstyles would you suggest? I love winter weddings, espeically the sparkles and cosy receptions, but the weather can play havoc with your hair!

If you intend to spend some time outside, your safest bet would be to opt for an updo. The style will ensure your hair will be back and secure, so you won’t have to worry about curls dropping or your locks blowing around in the wind. If you’re planning to spend the day inside or are minimising outdoor photos, a half-up or down style can look beautiful and will keep you warmer!

You can go down the route of clip-in hair extensions if you’re worried about curls dropping. The extensions will not only hold a curl well but adds longevity to the look. Hollywood waves are a great on-trend option for a glamorous winter wedding, or a smooth textured updo is a timeless and low-maintenance style that will look great with most outfits. THE PERFECT SETTING

We’re just starting planning our big-day, but neither of us have a clue what we should look for when booking a venue. Can you help? When initially looking at venues, it’s essential to find somewhere you both love – all the smaller details can be worked out at a later date. Pick a property that you’ll look back on for years to come and love every time you visit or view the wedding photos.

Think about what’s important to you when looking around venues, whether it be a gorgeous room for the ceremony, lovely grounds for pictures or plenty of accommodation for loved ones. Each couple has different priorities, so finding yours will help when searching for the perfect location. Natalie Bircher and Caroline Holloway | Kilworth House Hotel www.kilworthhouse.co.uk
