If you’re dreaming of a quintessential English country wedding, this stunning venue is a must-see. Built using traditional Norfolk red brick, the 17th-century barn is full of character with oak beams and traditional loft windows. It links to an elegant marquee, ideal for hosting your post-vows drinks reception. The picture-perfect setting is a photographer’s dream with traditional formal features including a romantic rose garden, fl owers and lily ponds. There’s a large patio area with bay trees, great for relaxing in the sunshine, enjoying drinks and a gourmet barbecue, a meadow for outdoor games and a woodland walk. You can marry with up to 120 guests in the barn by candlelight or outside in the rose gardens of the beautiful Queen Anne house. With the rose walk as your aisle, the grapevine pergola as the altar and your loved ones seated within the lawns, it’s an idyllic setting. Celebrate afterwards with a delicious wedding breakfast in the barn and elegant marquee followed by an evening reception for as many as 200 of your friends and family. If you want to linger longer, the venue provides a magical country wedding retreat. You can host your celebration over three days in privacy and comfort and enjoy a truly memorable break. Between the two self-catering cottages and its bed and breakfast lodge, there’s room for up to 24 guests with overfl ow accommodation for a further 20 guests available at its sister pub and restaurant The Swan, just a short journey away.

The High Barn at Bressingham Hall is a breathtaking venue, perfect for both the ceremony and wedding breakfast. The beautifully renovated traditional brick and stone building oozes character with exposed beams and high ceilings as well as contemporary fi nishing touches to complement its authentic charm.

You can say ‘I do’ inside the High Barn with up to 120 guests or outside in the courtyard or gardens. The world-renowned gardens are what really set this Norfolk gem apart, spanning 17 acres, they’re bursting with colour, plants, trees and water features, providing a wealth of great photo opportunities. Immediately outside the front of the barn there’s a sunny spacious courtyard landscaped in soft romantic hues; ideal for confetti or sparkler photos, drinks and canapés. Behind the building lies the secret walled garden, with paths and a lawn lined with buddleia and lavender plants; the perfect spot for enjoying the venue’s in-house garden games.

The barn can host receptions for up to 80 people, or for larger affairs the Rozanne Room can seat up to 150 for the wedding breakfast and receptions for as many as 250 loved ones.

WE LOVE… that you can arrange exclusive use of the rare vintage gallopers at sunset at the neighbouring Bressingham Steam Museum, just a couple of minutes’ walk away from the barn. Great as a surprise for your guests and amazing photos too!

Set in the heart of the Norfolk countryside on a magnifi cent Medieval estate, Hales Hall is surrounded by beautiful formal gardens and wild meadows providing a breathtaking setting for your whole celebration. You can marry in The Great Barn with its vaulted thatched roof and exposed timbers, joined by up to 180 seated guests for the ceremony and wedding breakfast. The largest surviving brick-built barn of its kind in the country, it can host 300 or more for the evening reception. The upstairs gallery provides a lovely cosy space; great as a chill-out area, complete with comfy sofas, fairylights and additional seating. It can also be used for intimate ceremonies or for the formal part before or after an al fresco service on the front lawn. The grounds provide a wealth of fabulous photo opportunities, complete with a moated area and fountain, topiary and fl oral avenue. Friends and family can relax on the sun-kissed terrace, there’s a pergola and outdoor seating and the lush lawns are ideal for drinks and garden games post-vows.

For those looking to linger longer, the venue can accommodate 25 or more guests across the estate. The hall itself provides a welcoming retreat and can be your very own mansion for the duration. All the rooms are furnished with antiques and with open fi res it offers the warmest of welcomes.

Just 10 minutes from Ipswich town centre, Manor Farm Barn is set in a rural location with fabulous countryside views. Approached by a long driveway lined by chestnut trees, it offers a wealth of great photo opportunities. The barn has undergone extensive work to transform it into the versatile wedding venue it is today. With double glass doors to the outside, a fully equipped kitchen, bar area and large black and white sprung dancefloor, it provides a self-contained space for weddings large or small. Dressed with marquee-style lining and chandeliers, the neutral colour scheme complements a range of wedding themes. You can marry in the main Chestnut Barn joined by 200 seated guests and host a sumptuous wedding breakfast afterwards. At the side of the building, the cosy Poplar Barn is ideal for more intimate ceremonies and if you’re dreaming of an al fresco affair, the purpose-built Garden Room provides the perfect space to exchange vows.
