The Belmont Hotel is a Victorian building with a tranquil tree-lined walkway. The family owned property has a homely feel and all the function spaces are individually designed in a neutral décor to allow couples to make their day truly personal.

Although the hotel doesn’t have its own gardens, The Oval is adjacent to the venue and is perfect for capturing group photos, while the steps from the original house are great for couple portraits.

The Belmont Hotel offers multiple spaces for ceremonies and receptions. The Rose Room is a versatile area that can accommodate 110 loved ones for the ‘I dos’ and wedding breakfast and 200 for the evening celebrations.

The Rowan Room is the ideal location for relaxed and private wedding celebrations with ample room for up to 40 guests for ceremonies and wedding breakfasts. For intimate celebrations, the May Room is perfect.

In the summer months, the venue’s terrace area makes a great spot for a drinks reception and informal pictures.

Couples who book the venue for their wedding and have a threecourse wedding breakfast are offered a tasting session to sample all the delicious dishes. Not only that, but they’ll also receive a complimentary dinner voucher on their first anniversary stay.

Surrounded by 18 acres of formal gardens, Rockingham Castle is a beautiful historic building with more than 950 years of history.

Boasting historic buildings, stunning formal gardens and spectacular views, the castle promises a truly special wedding venue that’s offered exclusively for weddings.

Couples will find many spaces for photography including the romantic gardens, complete with a striking 17th-century yew hedge, a colourful rose garden and a wild garden with more than 200 species of trees and shrubs – the perfect backdrop for wedding photographs.

Ceremonies take place in the heart of the castle, the Medieval Great Hall; this historic room provides a memorable experience with up to 90 guests, whether that’s during the height of summer or with the roaring log fire in winter. The space showcases panelled walls adorned with historical artworks and the Tudor beams offer an ideal setting for a classic wedding.

Built-in 1655 for the Watson family during the restoration of the castle after the English civil War, Walker’s House offers a special appeal for receptions. Whether nearlyweds prefer an elegant, rustic or vintage-style wedding, Walker’s House can be transformed to suit requirements.

In addition to the ground-level dining room, couples can choose to use the dance and bar area on the lower floor, known as the Undercroft.

The courtyard lawn can accommodate a marquee provided by the venue’s reputable chosen supplier for larger evening receptions with loved ones.

Situated in Leicester, Mercure Leicester The Grand Hotel is a Grade II listed venue built in 1897 and was designed by Cecil Ogden. Inside, couples will find stylish interiors, impressive architecture and friendly staff.

Located in the city centre, the hotel has an impressive 120 parking spaces for any guests travelling in and is only minutes away from the train station.

With various spaces to say ‘I do’, couples are spoilt for choice! The Queens Hall is the largest ceremony space that can fit 200 people. The hall is a bright room that’s elegantly decorated in neutral tones to complement any colour scheme.

Or why not opt for the stunning Empress Room for 75 people or the Cromwell Room for 60?

There are many spaces available for receptions of all sizes. The Kings Hall can accommodate 300 people; the Victorian ballroom includes two striking marble fireplaces and a high ceiling adorned with golden cherubs and classic chandeliers.

The Alexandra Room for 50 nearest and dearest can be used as additional space to complement the Kings Hall or as an event space on its own. The Tudor Room can fit 50 people and is a light and airy space that offers fabulous view into the city centre. If couples are looking for a space to add their own special touches, then the Charnwood Room is perfect and can fit up to 80 guests.

Alternatively within the hotel is Marcos New York Italian Restaurant, a contemporary-styled restaurant that’s great for a laid-back occasion for 120 people.

The Empress Room (max of 40 people), Cromwell Room (60) and Queens Hall (300) can also be used for receptions. After dancing the night away, guests can retreat to one of the 104 bedrooms.

THE CITY ROOMS

Situated in the heart of Leicester City Centre, The City Rooms is a Georgian venue that makes the perfect backdrop to any wedding.

Built-in 1792 and designed by John Johnson, the Grade I listed building still has many of the original features including the Roman Doric columns supporting the porch-way entrance. Ceremonies can occur in three locations: The Ballroom can accommodate 200 people for ceremonies and wedding breakfasts and features high ceilings, grand chandeliers and large windows which beautiful views. The Dining Room is located on the ground floor and has plenty of natural daylight and the bar is conveniently situated next door. This area is perfect for ceremonies for 80 guests, a drinks reception for 100 and a wedding breakfast for 60.

The Drawing Room is also located on the ground floor, with beautiful décor it can fit a 60 guests to witness the ‘I dos’ and 35 guests can enjoy the wedding breakfast.

Four luxury boutique bedrooms are included, with complimentary continental breakfast, with any wedding booked and couples also benefit from a menu tasting session.

Nestled among lush parkland just outside Leicester City Centre, Winstanley House makes the most beautiful backdrop for a wedding. The Grade II listed building is steeped in history, heritage, and character – just look at the original features and decorative brickwork. The venue’s a delightful blend of Georgian and contemporary architecture. It has been restored to include all the conveniences couples come to expect from a modern venue whilst retaining the charm, class and elegance of a stately home.

Inside couples will find 19 luxury bedrooms, two magnificent ballrooms, an Orangery and the Black Iron Restaurant & Bar.

The Pavilion Ballroom is ideally suited for 200 guests. It features floor-to-ceiling windows that offer expansive views of the grounds and lets natural light illuminate the room. Or why not opt for The Grand Ballroom for 250 guests? Adjacent to this space is the Orangery, an ideal fusion of contemporary and Georgian architecture with red brick walls, modern lighting fixtures and plenty of natural daylight. This location can accommodate 80 loved ones for ceremonies or drinks receptions.

Couples can also opt to exchange their vows in the landscaped gardens and there’s plenty of idyllic photo opportunities for photographers to capture.

KEYTHORPE MANOR

Set in the rolling countryside, Keythorpe Manor is an idyllic venue with excellent wedding spaces and a dedicated team that will ensure the day runs smoothly.

The venue provides ample opportunities for great wedding photos, with the English countryside serving as an elegant backdrop. Couples can make the most of the open spaces by making a grand entrance in style with either a horse-drawn carriage or arrive in a helicopter – the options are endless.

Ceremonies and receptions can occur in The Keythorpe Manor Marquee, the conservatory-style marquee serves as a blank canvas for couples looking to create an event that reflects their theme. French doors open out onto the surrounding veranda to create the perfect space for a drinks reception, outdoor bar, or a hog roast. Here, guests can enjoy the countryside views on the viewing platform and enjoy the secluded and peaceful setting.

The completely restored Oak Barn is a historic space perfect for intimate weddings. The wooden gambrel roof ceilings are adorned with uplights and a large wrought iron chandelier. The tapestries adds a touch of softness to the barn, whilst the natural elements of rich wood and exposed original brick combine to provide a rustic yet chic opulence. The venue has ample outdoor areas for reception drinks, cocktail bars, live music and seating areas.

Couples can stay overnight in the Bridal Cottage when they book the venue for the special day.
