We ❤ Sussex
As the wedding industry gathers momentum once more as we head into 2022, it feels like the weeks and months are flying by in a blur. Here we are, in the midst of autumn already and when deciding what to bring you this issue, I drew inspiration from somewhere dear to my heart, somewhere that comes alive at this time of year – Sussex, of course! I might be a tad biased here, but where else in the land could you find such a harmonious blend of quirky and traditional, town and country, seaside and woodland? There’s so much diversity within these borders that your wedding dreams can come true, whatever they may be. So, let’s celebrate that and discover how you don’t have to set foot too far from your own back yard to find an autumnal wedding paradise. I’ve rounded up my highlights across these pages – a tour of the county as viewed through wedding-tinted glasses if you will!
I hope you enjoy and until next time, keeep planning!

Oh we do like to be beside the seaside, and Eastbourne is just stunning. If, like me, you’ve got the sea air in your blood, saying “I do” by the coast may feel like the natural thing to do, whatever your personal style – boho, classic or red carpet: they all work in this charismatic setting.
I love this contemplative shot of real bride Cara, who tied the knot at Fitzleroi Barn, Pulborough.

WIN!
A HONEYMOON IN PROVENCE, FRANCE
The county’s bridal-boutique owners got together to share their top tips on dressing for your big day, whatever beautiful shape you’re blessed with. I fell in love with Faire by Pure Bridal the moment I laid eyes on it. It was suggested by Debbie at Rosedene Bridal as being ideal for my figure... now all I need is the groom!

Ditchling in East Sussex was the setting for this nostalgic and poignant shoot. The team waited patiently then sprung into action as the first poppy came into bloom.

I am obsessed with the super-cool Gatsby Girls! From 1920s hen parties to the most glamorous of wedding entertainment, they have all the answers. If vintage is your vibe find out more about them in our entertainment feature.

Becci and Ed tied the knot in September 2020. Celebrations were held at St. Mary’s Hall in Udimore, which they styled in a chic autumnal palette led by a luxurious burnt orange. 19
Sussex certainly offers the very best of both worlds when it comes to the all-important location choice of rural or urban with stunning venues everywhere you go.
