Congratulations on your selection to the Emerging Leader Program (ELP).This experience was designed for professionals like you to provide exposure to key leadership competencies with consideration of the challenges of leading in a complex and dynamic organization.This course outline brochure will provide you with information about what you can expect over the next nine months including course overviews, learning outcomes, and any pre-module work requirements. Be sure to keep this brochure handy and follow along as your leadership journey takes place. In addition, please make sure you bookmark the MSTeams ELPchannel, and switch your notifications on, to keep up-to-date on program materials and course content

This is a vILT session. vILT stands for Virtual Instructor

Led Training – a highly interactive and participative learning event. This is not eLearning nor a Webinar, but a very engaging and active development process. Therefore, come to the sessions prepared to be involved in open discussions, work in breakout groups, do presentations, argue and debate with your cohort colleagues, be called on by name to contribute and, most importantly, learn something new and have some fun!

• Analyze situational leadership opportunities where coaching and/or delegation can provide development and direction for direct reports and team members

• Coaching without authority: understanding how to coach in situations where coachees are peers and managers

• Discover the power of great coaching questions, how to truly listen to the answers and deploy a coaching process for in-the-moment coaching

CAPSTONE: Pecha Kucha

Pecha Kucha is a philosophy. It’s a methodology. It’s definitely a paradigm shift for you regarding how you approach and prepare a presentation. It’s 20 slides auto-timed for 20-seconds per slide. So your presentation will last no longer (or shorter) than 6-minutes and 40-seconds.
