WE CARE A LOT ABOUT CAMP We know you made a careful choice when you selected Covenant Harbor. We work hard to make you glad you picked us. Our top priorities are the safety and happiness of our campers, clear communication of the gospel, and offering adventures, lessons, and experiences you won't find anywhere else. This manual is intended to give you the information you need to be as ready as possible for those experiences.

WE'RE REALLY GLAD YOU'RE COMING TO CAMP Here are a few basics that will be helpful to know before and during your camper's experience. Expect Emails From Us They will be filled with all of the latest information and the most important details. To be fully prepared for the camp experience, please completely read each email we send.
Don’t Forget Your Medical Form If you haven't already completed this form, log back into your online registration account by clicking the "Register" button on our website to complete and submit the "Medical Form Summer 2017" for your camper(s). If you don't have internet access, call to request a paper form. *You should know, Covenant Harbor provides only secondary insurance to our campers. You are responsible to provide primary insurance.
Special Concerns If your camper has any special needs, activity, or dietary restrictions please report them on your Medical Form and/or please inform our registrar at least three weeks before your camper's experience so we can accommodate them to the best of our ability.

E-Scans If you purchase e-scans, campers write home and we will scan and email their letters to you.
Packages and Mail All mail (including email) is delivered at lunch each day. Anything that arrives after 11am will be delivered the next day. Emails or packages sent after 11am on the last full day of camp may not be delivered.
Online Photos You’ll receive instructions on your check-in day, so you can see photos we post throughout your camp session.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT Check-in Check-in takes place from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on the first day of camp. Kishwauketoe will start with an opening ceremony for parents at 4:15 pm. Pier 30 will start with an opening ceremony for parents at 4:30 pm. Our staff will not assume responsibility for any camper until the conclusion of the opening ceremony. At Check-in, campers will receive their housing assignment, drop off all medications with the camp nurse (more information below), and drop off mail for your camper. You’ll also have the option to put spending money in your camper’s account and to purchase a t-shirt, cabin photo, camp photo, wave pack, and/or e-scan; or save time and money by purchasing items in advance through the online registration.
Camper Medications and Inhalers ● ● ● ● ●
All medications will be administered by our on-site nurse throughout the week. All prescription drugs must be given to the nurse at Check-in and must be in original containers with instructions. Medication must be current; expired medications cannot be accepted. Campers may not keep any medications on their person or in their belongings (including over the counter medications). Please do not bring nonprescription medications (vitamins, fluoride pills, etc.) that are not essential for maintaining your child’s health while at camp. If your child uses an inhaler, please send two inhalers to camp, if possible. One will be kept at the health center and one will be carried with the counselor throughout the week.

Check-out Camp officially ends with a closing ceremony for each program. Kishwauketoe closing ceremony is at 9:30 am. Pier 30 closing ceremony is at 9:45 am. Parents should arrive 15-30 minutes before the closing ceremony to check-out. Check-out will not open before 9:00 am. At Check-out you will receive leftover spending money, sign your camper out (only a person authorized to pick up your camper will be given a Release Card which must be given to your camper’s counselor), pick up your cabin photo and camp photo, and pick up unused medications. Early check-out is highly discouraged and should be considered only in extreme circumstances. In order to ensure our staff have adequate time to prepare for the next group of campers, timely departure is essential. Parents who do not arrive by 10:00 am will be subject to late fees.

Lost and Found Covenant Harbor is not responsible for lost or stolen belongings. At Check-out, lost and found items are brought to a designated area. If one of your items is missing, please talk to a staff member while you are here, or call our office. Items can be mailed (we require shipping reimbursement). At the end of the summer season, unclaimed items are donated to charity. For health reasons, socks, underwear, toothbrushes, used soap, etc. will be thrown out.
