— Reaction: Partick match Rory report McAllister
Rory McAllister is hoping to keep up his good form when we round off our involvement in the Betfred League Cup against Forfar Athletic at Balmoral Stadium today at 3pm. Neither of us can qualify for the next stage, but striker Rory says that won’t lessen his desire to be involved. “There is no such thing as a meaningless game to me,” said Rory, who has netted in last week’s 3-0 League 1 win over the Loons and also had a hand in the other two goals, which were claimed by skipper Mitch Megginson. “We will be doing our best to win to put ourselves in the best possible frame of mind for next week’s league visit to Falkirk.” “There will also be lads out there getting more minutes desperate to impress the manager in the hope that they can stay in the side. I’m certainly hoping I get to feature. “ “I really enjoyed the chance to start against Forfar last time and I want to play more football to get my match fitness back up to where I would like it to be. It would also be great if I got another chance to play alongside Mitch.”
