On October 22nd and 23rd, Cowan’s will host their Fall Historic Firearms and Early Militaria: Live Salesroom Auction. Over 1,400 fine firearms and collectibles will be offered, many fresh-to-the-market. Included in the sale are over 80 Class III weapons from the collections of Dr. David M. Nash, Harold R. Peterson and Richard Wray. Featured Class III weapons are a very rare FG-42, an Argentine Brass Maxim, an H&K Model 53, an FN DA1 BAR, a German MP43, a Waffenfabrik Bern Prototype Stgw51 Machine Gun, a Breda Model 1935 Light Machine Gun, a Swiss Maxim MG11 Machine Gun, and a German Model MG-42 Machine Gun. The auction will also feature some of the best engraved powder horns, Kentucky rifles, Mauser and semi-automatic pistols, and many U.S. military arms. Sporting rifles from the collection of John J. Malloy, the well-known antique gun dealer and safari hunter, include a Rigby Rifle, will be offered. A great selection of Winchesters and Colts will hit the block, including one of the best early Colt Single Actions to come to the market in recent years.
