Meet the NRCHA’s Boss Mares

LIKE A BOSS

In 2022, the NRCHA is recognizing top producing mares, or Boss Mares, in a special ceremony. There are National Reined Cow Horse Association special awards for riders and sires that hit earnings marks, and now, NRCHA dams with offspring earning $500,000 or more are joining that group.

When comparing mares that produce high-earning offspring to the stallions that sire up to twenty times the number of offspring, it’s a statisticians dream to run the numbers. It’s true mare power!

During the show, for the first time, the dam’s achievements will be recognized with ceiling banners, and the mares will be recognized during an invite-only reception. The NRCHA invites all connections to the mares and their offspring to join us in recognizing their status during the Snaffle Bit Futurity® Open Finals on Saturday, October 22.

The NRCHA congratulates all the owners, riders of prominent offspring, and other connections to these great producing mares as we recognize the mare power behind our reined cow horses.

Shiney Tari’s high earning offspring, Shine Smarter (pictured) has contributed more than $214,000 to the mare’s more than $720,000 in produce earnings, placing her atop an elite field of mares.

Blind Sided has earned more than $200,000, helping Lil Miss Shiney Chex to the number three high-prouducing reined cow horse mare. Hes Shinettes CD (by CD Olena) amassed $184,006.18 in NRCHA earnings, to help propel Sheza Shinette to the number two spot on all-time producing Boss Mares.

With the Snaffle Bit Futurity® Open Reserve Champion and the CINCH Intermediate Open Champion titles, Jule Smart Rey tops Soula Jule Forever’s other offspring with $170,857.74 in earnings.

Magicality and Gusti Buerger’s success helped push Magical Lena to number five on the list of producing mares. Magicality (by Very Smart Remedy) has $102,844.31in earnings.

Smoke Time Tuck’s WR This Cats Smart foal, Tuckers Smart Cat, earned $167,115.36 to put her on the list of mares with more than half-a-million in produce NRCHA earnings. CD Diamond, sired by CD Olena, added $140,320.46 to Shiners Diamond Girl’s produce offspring and is her highest-earning offspring. Scooter Kat’s NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity® Open Reserve Champion win plus multiple limited age event wins helped the stallion add more than $300,000 to Scooters Daisy Duke’s produce earnings.
