NEWSLETTER Friday 7th February Dear parents and carers, We have been delighted to host the Noël Turner Science Festival over the last two days. In addition to our own students, thousands of students from across the island attended the event. We are incredibly grateful to the Winchester Science Centre, the Noël Turner Science Festival Committee and all of the volunteers and exhibitors for their hard work and dedication in making the festival an exciting, enriching experience for all involved.

Here at Cowes Enterprise College the festival is at the heart of our annual calendar – we value bringing young people into contact with employers and industry and supporting them through quality careers advice and we value the festival for what it brings to our youngsters from across the whole Island with regards to unlocking new possible horizons and raising aspirations. The importance of science is a deeply engrained part of Island life, industry and employability and I cannot think there is a better way to make science come alive for children than this. The hands-on tour explored exhibits through the different zones on offer: Ocean, Flight, Communication, Life, Earth and a pop-up Science Centre. The students saw science absolutely coming alive with the live science shows, brilliant exhibitor displays and activities on offer. A reminder that my parent surgeries continue this term on Tuesday afternoons. Please either email dharrison@cowesec.org or phone the school on 01983 203103 asking for Donna Harrison to book a prebooked slot. With best wishes, Rachel Kitley Click the arrows or swipe to turn pages
