A group of riled-up Crofton residents are ready to fight for their new skate park. They plan to be out in force at the next budget review meeting. Gerry Hurst, who helps out with the local skateboard club said earlier that people are upset by rumours circulating around the community. “Crofton has a club organized and everything and I sort of oversee it and help them out. It’s getting dangerous now because the ends are curling up at the points. “It’s in the old tennis court behind the community centre. There are three pieces that form into a skate park above the asphalt,” Hurst described.
