Itinerary DAY 1 Johannesburg Arrive in Johannesburg any time and make your way to the joining point hotel. A brief departure meeting will be held in the hotel reception area in evening on Day 1 of your tour. Upon arrival look for information from your CEO on the hotel bulletin board regarding the meeting time. Please make sure you have all of the necessary visas for this tour by the time of the welcome meeting. It is very important to read the Visa section in our trip details to make sure which visas you will need, if any. Please note that not all nationalities are able to obtain a visa on arrival at the border. Our starting hotel is located outside of the city of Johannesburg. After the welcome meeting your CEO will organize a group dinner just outside the lodge

in one of the local restaurants.

DAY 2 Greater Kruger Area/Kruger National Park Depart early in the morning (approx. 7:30am) and drive through scenic mountains, experience traditional Shangaan dinner and dance. The name Manyeleti, means 'Place of the Stars' in the local Shangaan language and guests have the opportunity to view the magnificent Southern Constellation. Manyeleti is situated away from the mainstream tourist areas and guests can experience the tranquility of the African Bush in absolute seclusion. In the late afternoon/early evening relax around the pool, sit around the campfire and enjoy your sundowner drink, followed by a traditional meal and traditional dancing by the villagers. Sleep tight and listen to the haunting sounds of the African night. The 23,000 hectare Manyeleti Game Reserve is situated between the Timbavati Private Reserve, the Kruger National Park and the Sabi Sands Game Reserve. With no fences separating Manyeleti from Kruger and the neighbouring reserves, a huge variety of wildlife roams freely over more than 2 million hectares of African bush. Game drives in open vehicles (optional) could bring you into close contact with the Big 5 (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino) for an unforgettable safari experience. The Manyeleti Game Reserve is managed by the Mnisi tribe who have been in the area for many generations. The Mnisi are committed to retaining the integrity of the game reserve and ensuring that the benefits of tourism in the reserve are delivered to the surrounding communities.

DAY 3 Greater Kruger Area/Kruger National Park Depart around 8:00am to visit Planeterra-supported, Hope Africa Children's Day School, close to the lodge in Shalati Village. G Adventures, Planeterra and the Shalati Lodge work closely with the school to provide not only funds for improvements and supplies, but also hands-on support with lesson plans and resource assistance. Many of the parents of the children that attend this school are staff at the lodge and rangers at the park -- the ducation centre allows for their children to have full-time access to early childhood education, while also being cared for so their parents can preform their livelihoods. You will have a quick stop at this school first thing in the morning to see the morning announcements/ songs of the students. The school has a principal and two full-time teachers who will discuss the work that is done at the school. While the students commence with their classes, you will have a chance to walk around the grounds with you CEO who will show you the school facilities. Planeterra and G Adventures recently built a new kitchen, toilets, and water tank for the school. Future plans include expanding a community garden and

craft stall that will be run by the mother's of the children to each extra income for their families. After the visit to the school you will continue to Kruger NP for a full-day game drive in our own vehicle. Please note: children will not be in attendance periodically during periods of school holidays including the long vacation from: 11 Dec 2014 to 13 Jan 2015 26 Mar 2015 to 12Apr 2015 27 Jun 2015 to 19 Jul 2015 3 Oct 2015 to 11 Oct 2015 10 Dec 2015 to 14 Jan 2016
