Did you know?

Vocations After 50 years, our You and Ministry weekends are continuing to help hundreds of people discern God’s call and consider ordained or authorised ministry in a relaxed and helpful setting. We also run lifecall young vocations days for 16-25s, and offer a free online vocations tool called ‘Your S.H.A.P.E. for ministry’ as well as downloadable vocations resource sheets.

CPAS works in partnership with churches, deaneries, dioceses, theological colleges and other organisations to deliver high quality leadership training in all sorts of different contexts.

Grove Leadership Series Since teaming up with Grove Books to launch the Grove Leadership Series, we’ve published booklets on a whole range of key leadership issues such as discernment, the inner life of a leader, working with volunteers, discipleship and social networking. Leading Edge forums Leading Edge forums provide a unique opportunity for lay and ordained leaders to examine key issues of local church leadership. Grounded in reality and designed to provide you with insight and skills to lead a missional church, these one-day events cover pertinent topics such as discerning direction, enabling action, leading in a multi-church benefice, building teams and sustaining yourself.

Arrow Leadership Programme

Lead Academy

Society is changing. The Church faces huge challenges. Yet Christ’s commission remains constant. Emphasising character and calling, Arrow promotes long-term, whole person development for full time Christian leaders aged 25-40.

Helping local churches overcome barriers to growth is what CPAS is all about. We’ve teamed up with Lead Academy to deliver two new learning communities to address two of the biggest issues affecting Anglican churches today:

Participants are equipped with the skills they need to lead the Church today as they learn how to be led more by Jesus, lead more like Jesus and lead more to Jesus. Leaders are developed through mentoring, projects, peer groups and residential events over an 18 month period.

Looking for a move? As part of our role as the UK’s largest evangelical patron with responsibility for over 500 parishes, CPAS holds a register of evangelical clergy looking for a move. This is shared with other patrons, bishops and archdeacons.

How do we grow our churches beyond the ‘200 barrier’? How can we do mission in a multi-church benefice? Designed for groups of leaders from the same church, Lead Academy learning communities journey together over 18 months through innovative team work, in-depth reflection with other leaders and specialised input from members of the Lead Academy faculty. New incumbents Your first post of overall responsibility – both daunting and exciting! The Buck Stops Here three-day conferences offer ministers in their first incumbency an opportunity to explore the new responsibilities God has called them to, grow as a leader and be encouraged in their role. Also suitable for people returning to ordained parish ministry from nonparochial appointments.

Residential holidays provide a unique opportunity for children and young people to grow in faith, friendships and confidence. Ventures are fun, safe, Christian holidays for 8-18s. Young people can go on their own, with friends or as part of a youth group, and there are over 90 life-changing holidays to choose from so there’s something for everyone. We’re also always on the lookout for volunteer leaders!

Falcon Camps are Christian holidays specifically designed for children and young people from families facing disadvantage or marginalisation in society such as unemployment, financial difficulties, loss, separation or exclusion from education. Falcon Camps are heavily subsidised by our generous supporters. They are a great resource for youth workers and churches seeking to bless young people facing difficulties with fun, friends, new experiences – and God’s amazing love for them.
