Your Life in Portraits

CAPTURING THE ESSENCE INDIVIDUALITY AND SPIRIT OF FAMILY

WHAT IF...

You could have your family’s portraits created by someone who is passionate about photography and service. Someone who intentionally keeps their business small, so that relationships can be fostered and you are welcomed as a friend. What if this studio offered portraits that are true art pieces, that will be valued and enjoyed for many years to come. What if this vision of your family as art is summed up as “to capture what only the heart can see with the quality only a few can produce”. This is what I believe in, and what is behind every decision at Crackle Photography.

The Benefits Are Clear You will have the chance to visually journal your family’s relationships with each other, noting the subtle and delicate changes that occur in the progression of life. You will be investing in art that not only has finanical value, but more importantly, has personal value.

You will bypass the regrets so many have when they realize the important “growing up” years have quietly slipped away and there are no portraits to reflect their family history.

You will be providing a tangible legacy for your children and your children’s children as each new generation finds themselves in the faces of the past.

Your Life In Portraits Stage 1...Babyhood The moment you have waited for has arrived, and suddenly time is passing so much faster. How can such a small person make so much laundry?! Juggling time, feedings and a general lack of sleep seem to characterize most people’s introduction to parenthood. All is bearable with the amazing love you feel for such a small person who has changed your world forever. Every day brings a new first... first smile, first roll over, first tooth, first words and first faltering steps. We can help you ensure that each of these magical stages of your baby’s first year are documented and treasured forever. Newborn-3 Months: Babies at this stage love seeing their parents faces more than anything else. This is the perfect opportunity for a Classic Style Portrait - this style is photographed up close and captures the intimate relationship developing in your growing family. I like to capture a new family image plus individual ones showing the tight bond you have with your baby. Using parents hands also illustrates just how wee and small your baby is. 6 Months: The best time to capture this stage is once your baby is happily sitting up on their own. Using our specially created baby set for a Contemporary Style portrait we can focus on capturing your baby’s emerging personality, the smiles, the giggles and maybe the frowns. This is a KEY MILESTONE portrait. 12 Months: If your baby is not walking they are busy crawling everywhere! This is an age of baby on the move! This is the perfect time to photograph the whole family, while spotlighting the baby I recommend a Classic Style Portrait for this KEY MILESTONE portrait.

Your Life In Portraits Stage 2...Toddler Having a toddler brings a new set of challenges and rewards. The silent baby is now a high speed moving, talking person in their own right. Often another sibling joins the family during these years and your toddler is suddenly bigger overnight! Suddenly preschool and kindergarten seem just around the corner, capture the moments of Toddlerhood! 2 Years: This KEY MILESTONE portrait captures the delight and fury only a two year old can bring - emotions pass over them so fast we can capture a range of moods and feelings in one session. Either a Classic Style Portrait or our Contemporary Style is a great way to document your child we can use you as props to keep the busy person in place and provide comfort for your child! 3 Years: This is a magical time of childhood, the beginning of the expression of imagination and playing make-believe. This is a great time to create a Color Study Portait using our white set which gives plenty of room for play and dressup. Pastels or bright colors set the stage for a bright playful portrait that are perfect in children’s bedrooms.

Your Life In Portraits Stage 3...Childhood Start of Kindergarten: This is a life changing moment in raising a child - the first day you put them on the bus to school, the intense feeling of them growing up wraps around you all day. Celebrate their growth and independence with a portrait that illustrates who they are at this time - together we will figure out the best style of portrait to show your child as they truly are at this time. Loosing the First Tooth: The march of the tooth fairy - but how adorable do they look with no front teeth?! Give us a call and bring in your toothless wonder for some precious portraits of them without their two front teeth! Age 8: This is a great time to capture your child’s exuberance and update the family portrait - a Big Sky Session or a Contemporary Style portrait are great at this time.

Your Life In Portraits Stage 4...Pre-Teen The pre-teen years are often given a bad rap, things at home change as your child starts to exert their independence. As your child begins to break away from the family to establish their own identity, it is important to remember that they are still needing love and support, hugs, kisses and praise. Often the social pressures they are under can cause them to doubt their body image, help them celebrate themselves with an image that affirms they are wonderful as they are. Pre Teen: Busy schedules and a pre-teens dismissiveness of pictures can make it easy to delay or procrastinate about portraiture at this age. Do not miss these special years, capture your child before their lives take them off in new directions, celebrate with individual images and either a family portrait or sibling grouping.

Your Life in Portraits Stage 5...Young Adult The final stage of childhood, the years before your child leaves your home. Statistics show that we take less candid photographs at home of our children at these ages, this makes it more important to capture the essence and spirit of the child you have raised before they head out of the home to begin their own lives. Age 16 Years: A milestone in life, our “children start driving, they become more independent and run their own activites and schedules to some degree. They text non stop and may even disagree with our opinions!! The reality starts to hit home your baby is now almost an adult and they will soon be moving out of home. Capture the naunces of this age with a Classic Style Portrait. High School Senior: Our senior sessions celebrate every individual and their interests. This KEY MILESTONE PORTRAIT is offered in a variety of styles - you pick a session type that suits you and then we custom plan the session together, to ensure we get images that make everyone happy. It is likely that this will be final opportunity for a family portrait for a few years. All our senior sessions that include a Big Sky Style have a complimentary family session included.

WELCOME TO CRACKLE PHOTOGRAPHY I look forward to getting to know you and your family and helping you create lasting histories for you and your family to enjoy.
