WWW.e-WBS.com Who are the Westbrook and Stevens - In Memory of Al and Robert Stevens and Highland Pattern: A long time ago, the father of our co-founder, Craig Stevens, helped to carve this pattern out of wood for the mold of a 1955 GMC pickup truck. His family’s company employed the best skilled artisans in the business. They had the core competences required to make these elaborate designs and patterns for molds. Craig Explains, “My Uncle Robert explained to me, that as time went on, they never developed the core competences required for the Information Technology Revolution. ” It was not what they wanted to do. Therefore, one of the reasons the company is not here today, is their decisions to not keep pace with changes related to computerized manufacturing and the vertical integration of the auto industry. Craig founded Westbrook Stevens, LLC to teach business and engineering models that he developed based on the earlier works of Dr. Jerry W estbrook. Dr. Jerry W estbrook ’s work in management concepts lead to two of the five Linked Management Models and was part of the genesis of the overall concept related to the Link Management Models. The name Westbrook Stevens, LLC is in honor of Dr Jerry Westbrook (one of Craig’s mentors) and Al Stevens (Craig’s father who died when Craig was 13). Westbrook Stevens, LLC is a woman owned company and Craig is the President of W estbrook Stevens, LLC.

Scrum and Agile Project Management Certifications What is Scrum? Scrum is the most popular Agile framework. It is an adaptive, iterative, fast, flexible, and effective methodology designed to deliver significant value quickly and throughout a project. Scrum ensures transparency in communication and creates an environment of collective accountability and continuous progress. The Scrum framework, as defined in the SBOK™ Guide, is structured in such a way that it supports product and service development in all types of industries and in any type of project, irrespective of its complexity. A Scrum project involves a collaborative effort to create a new product, service, or other result as defined in the Project Vision Statement. Projects are impacted by constraints of time, cost, scope, quality, resources, organizational capabilities, and other limitations that make them difficult to plan, execute, manage, and ultimately succeed. However, successful implementation of the results of a finished project provides significant business benefits to an organization. It is therefore important for organizations to select and practice an appropriate project management methodology. A key strength of Scrum lies in its use of cross-functional, self-organized, and empowered teams who divide their work into short, concentrated work cycles called Sprints. The focus of Scrum on value driven delivery helps Scrum Teams deliver results as early in the project as possible.
