See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:19

I love trees! They are so beautiful and always show their strength. I have watched trees bend beyond comprehension in high winds. I have seen them burned in wildfires and come back new the following Spring. I have seen animals using trees as their homes, confident that they are safe from harm.

Did you know that there are more than 60,000 species of trees? Here in the United States, we have 1,000 different trees. And many of the trees around the world face extinction. I looked up this information and found a wonderful fact. Methuselah is a 4,852-year-old Great Basin Bristlecone pine (Pinus Longeval) tree growing high in the White Mountains of Inyo County in eastern California. It is recognized as the non-clonal tree with the greatest confirmed age in the world. (Thank you Google and Wikipedia).

Trees are in the paradise of God. In Revelation 22, we learn that the tree of life bears fruit crops 12 times a year, and its leaves are for the healing of the nations. There are many trees with healing powers at our disposal now, which is a sign of God’s provision for us.
God bless you in the New Year.
