LETTER FROM THE AUTHOR You have arrived at a defining moment in your life where you choose between two paths, happiness or happenstance. The path to happiness requires active and intentional participation while the path of happenstance requires nothing and a what-comes-what may philosophy that can be pretty much summed up as a passive-aggressive approach to life. A person that has a happenstance mind-set watches life pass them by or they vicariously bypass life. A person that operates with a happy mind-set not only grabs life by the horn, but by the tail as well. This is the type of person that leaves nothing to chance and ultimately they have nothing to lose and everything to gain. This person I am describing is –YOU! You have defined your moment and are preparing to work self into nothing short of awesome. The keys to happiness are now in your hands in a plain and powerful way opening every door to fulfillment. True happiness employs intrapersonal and interpersonal communication- meaningful internal dialogue as well as shared communication with others. It employs a unique weave of being an extrovert and introvert or as more commonly known - being outgoing or a bit reserved. The time for a life of happiness has never been better than right now. It is my life mission to generate this understanding to all of humanity - happiness does not have to elude us. I am here as your life coach and it is my privilege to jump start your new happiness, with a training program designed to build your life muscles and mental mass with easy to understand definitions, scientific and mechanical factors and my personally developed system that is a proof-positive way to fast track you to a blazing life.
CHAPTER ONE HAPPINESS DEFINED What is Happiness? Happiness can be achieved, always. Yes, I know this is a bold statement. But what makes it even bolder is that it is true. As a life coach I have simply defined real happiness as a state of mind that manifests through our state of affairs. Happiness is not predicated on external factors, as it is an inner essence we connect with moment by moment. Traditionally, happiness is defined as a state of being. Other words that describe happiness are joy, supreme delight and contentment.
What Happiness Isn’t Often times our state of affairs gives us a sense of awesomeness and accelerated gratification. Gratification is a rewarding emotion, but it is also a crippling one if used in the wrong manner. The wrong type is instant gratification. The very nature of this emotion is
impulsive behavior and it is the emotional opposite of patience and virtue. I often say impulsive gratification is the ultimate trickster. Instant gratification comes as fast as it leaves. Once it is gone the person is left looking for the next “hit.” This type of person can be considered a “gratification seeker.” The magical triumph in life is when we can un-robe the continual need for impulsive gratification and cloak ourselves in lifelong gratitude.
CHAPTER TWO THE SCIENTIFIC FACTORS OF HAPPINESS The Scientific Factors of Happiness incorporates eight remarkable fields of action: Gratitude, Thought Patterns, Law of Attraction, Law of Electric Charge, Law of Motion, Law of Causality, Law of Synergy, and Law of Mind and Matter. Combined, these eight fields structure life for 100 percent success.
Factor 1 Gratitude is associated with psychological benefits and permeates from deep within the human soul igniting a stable flow of happiness. When we realize that happiness is a part of our biological makeup we no longer search for the best makeup artist to give us a makeover. Instead, we search out the teacher within to teach us what our happy truth is, how to apply it in our life and how to release it to the world as a gift. We victoriously go from searching for happiness to sharing our happiness. When this transformation takes place we live micro-second by microsecond with an attitude of gratitude. An attitude of gratitude is a state of mind. A state of mind refers to a person’s thought life and their thought patterns.
Factor 2 Merriam-Webster’s online dictionary defines patterns (behavioral) as traits, acts, tendencies or other observable characteristics of a person, group or institution. Our thought life and thought pattern creates life traits that are either positive or negative. These life traits become a part of our personality, mannerisms and actions. Thoughts and thought patterns are so intriguing that scientists and physicists have developed a cutting-edge and trailblazing branch of science whereby they combine the nonmaterial or invisible world (consciousness) with the material or visible world (universe) in an attempt to solve humanity’s most enigmatic question. That question - what is the true essence of life? The true essence of life is answered in one of the most popular creation stories known to man. The Bible records when God created humankind He stood back and admired creation and said, “It was very good.” Goodness is the essence of life and is the unseen neuron that energizes all of the seen neurons throughout the human body. Because the human body is innately
composed of goodness it naturally attracts goodness. The way the human body attracts goodness is through thought. Thought is simply defined as mental activity. Luckily for us neurologists can observe, record and most interestingly measure mental activity, (scientifically known as electrical activity) with electroencephalography (EEG).This activity happens along the scalp produced by the firing of neurons within the brain. A neuron is an electrically excitable nerve cell that processes and transmits information by electrical and chemical signaling. The signaling is made possible by neurons connecting to each other to form networks. Neurons are also the main component of the nervous system throughout the body. This biological network, in short, can be viewed as a data system connected to a super organic computer within the brain and body. This super organic computer has the ability to handle an infinite amount of information reception, storage, trajectory and even disposal. In a nutshell our thoughts are like lightning bolts that strike power lines that send volts of electrical waves through our brain giving us continual direction on what, who, how, why, where and when. The electrical signaling within our brain also creates an electrical field outside the brain. The electric field has an influence produced by an electric charge on other charges in its vicinity. This is to say the non-material world of our thoughts contained in our human energy field (HEF) influence “things” and people in the material world within the universal energy field (UEF). In laymen’s terms, our thoughts attract things and things are attracted to our thoughts. For example, have you ever thought about a family member or a friend you haven’t seen or talked to in a while and then later on in the day or week they call, email or show up at your front door? This is a prime and well known example of your electrical field or thoughts influencing someone else’s electrical field or thoughts. This phenomenon is popularly known as the Law of Attraction.
Factor 3 The Law of Attraction allows us to reword the phrase “opposites attract” to “similar attract.” It’s like our thoughts send out S.O.S signals and are picked up and rescued by another signal that is able to understand and perform its request. Attraction is a mind blowing magnetic force that can be very helpful or very harmful. We can either live a life of fulfilled attraction or a life of fatal attraction. The choice is ours. Our life is in our own hands. We have the power to shape, determine and design the way our life should be presently and how it should go in the future. When we positively change our mind, we positively change our life. The thrilling fact about thought is that it is information and information according to physicists travels at the speed of light. It is recorded that the speed of light when rounded off travels at seven hundred million miles per hour, this is how fast our thoughts travel. So, when we think good, we attract good, instantaneously. The key to having a happy life is to have a happy thought life. We can have a happy thought life with daily thought affirmations. When we incorporate daily thought affirmations in our lives we are actually establishing a life affirming system.
Factor 4 According to the Law of Electric Charge there are two types of electric charges, positive and negative. Electric charge is a physical property of matter, which causes it to experience a force when near other electrically charged matter. This law corresponds directly with our nervous system and electrical field. The Law of Electric Charge also corresponds directly with the Law of Attraction. It is proven that two positively charged substances or objects experience a mutual repulsive force and so do two negatively charged substances. It is also proven that positively charged objects and negatively charged objects experience an attractive force. When we think positive we attract positive forces in our life and at the same time positivity acts as a repulsive force that pushes negative forces farther and farther away from us.
Factor 5 Physicist- Sir Isaac Newton in his Third Law of Motion states that forces always come in pairs. He propagated that every action is accompanied by a reaction of equal magnitude but opposite directions. When we think positive inward, a positive force goes in an outward direction and is matched with an equal magnitude of positive force. This force reacts to our thoughts and moves positivity back towards us. This is what is known as the art and science of motion. It is safe to say that what goes out comes back in and what goes around comes around.
Factor 6 The Law of Motion can also be summed up using the Law of Causality also known as the Law of Cause and Effect. The Law of Cause and Effect refers to the philosophical concept, in which an action or event will produce a certain response to the action in the form of another action. So, the act of thinking positive things within yourself is the cause; and the act of positive things returning to you is the effect.
Factor 7 The Law of Cause and Effect and the Law of Motion work well with the Law of Synergy, which is defined as two or more agents working together to produce a result not obtainable by any of the agents working independently. This law is commonly translated by the phrase from the Greek philosopher, Aristotle, “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Wholeness and happiness are two great agents because they are comprised of many happy thoughts working together in synergy. When our mind is constantly inundated with happy thoughts it produces happy results in our life.
Factor 8 In actuality we are lawmakers and what we think, say and act become the laws of our life. Whatever we bind in our mind is bound in our lives and whatever we lose in our mind is lose in
our lives. This binding and loosing is what I classify as the Law of Mind and Matter. Matter is controlled by the mind in the fact that our mind is matter as well. However, our mind is a form of matter that operates at a higher frequency and it is the mind that is the power source, if you will, that powers-up and charges all other sources. As you think so you will be. What you think about comes about. Happiness is not found - it’s created.
