Message from Mrs Conrad I am sure you will agree with me that the FOST Christmas Fair this week has been absolutely fantastic. The virtual market place had a wonderful array of stalls with a lovely selection of gifts for Christmas; the raffle and auction had incredible prizes (huge thanks to those who donated them) and already over £2000 has been raised; the Advent calendar, Bake Off and Worst Photo competition were great fun and involved everyone across the school; the St Teresa’s choirs got us all in the Christmas spirit, superbly enhanced by the clever wintery IT special effects! I very much enjoyed judging the beautifully decorated stockings and I know Mrs Jones loved choosing a reindeer name from all the creative and humorous entries that were received! The theme for the Fair was ‘Community’ and it certainly lived up to this St Teresa’s value. Another group who have been absolutely amazing this week are Year 6 (and their teachers!). Year 6 have been diligently joining us from home for assemblies and lessons and staff have been extremely impressed with their commitment to online learning and the quality of work they have produced. Today, our prefect team did a wonderful job leading the Celebration Assembly from their homes and we were very impressed with their smooth operating of the technology in order to make this happen. Well done everyone! I wish you all a relaxing weekend.
Ringing the Bell for Beatrix Today was Alana’s sister’s last day of chemotherapy and it is traditional to ring the special end of treatment bell at The Royal Marsden Hospital. This morning we joined with the family during assembly and rang our school bell for Beatrix and Alana to celebrate this milestone.

Gentle Reminder Please could we gently remind all families not to meet up or organise parties, sleepovers and playdates, even within your daughter’s bubble. This is because additional family members are not within this bubble and it increases the risk of infection and subsequent bubble closures. Thank you for working in partnership with us to keep the school as safe as possible.

This Week On Sunday we celebrated the feast of Christ the King. We recalled how Jesus turned earthly ideas of what a king was like on their head as, at the Last Supper, he knelt down and set us an example by washing his disciples feet. Jesus did this throughout his life. Rather than being born in a great palace, he was born in a stable. Rather than being waited on in a royal nursery, he was laid in a manger. Rather than courting the rich, popular and powerful, he chose his followers from the poor, the vulnerable and those cast out from society. Rather than a throne on a grand dais, his place of glory was on a cross on Calvary hill. And rather than a crown of gold, he wore a crown of thorns. The Feast of Christ the King asks us to look at our world and our lives and to ask ourselves what is truly of value, what do we prize above all other things, what truly makes us fully human and fully alive. The example of Jesus reminds us that we are most human, most the person we are called to be, when we follow his example and serve others.
