8th February 2021 2nd July 2021
Message from Mrs Conrad It was a joy to welcome you to Sports Day on Wednesday – the first time we have seen many of you in person for a long time. Both the Lower and Upper Prep events were a wonderful celebration of our girls’ sporting prowess; I was very proud of the grit, determination and sportsmanship they demonstrated. Our prize givings were a fitting celebration of the girls’ many achievements and our special guest, Dr Susie Imber, was an inspiration to our Year 6 girls as she told us about her job as a planetary scientist and described the challenges she had to face to win the BBC competition, ‘Astronaut – do you have what it takes?’. And finally, I am delighted to share with you that the Prep School has been shortlisted as the best prep school in the national Independent School Awards 2021! This is a remarkable achievement and I would like to thank the entire school community– staff, governors, parents and pupils – for making St Teresa’s the special and distinctive place that it is. I wish you all a relaxing and restful summer holiday.

Year 2 Concert Congratulations to the Year 2 pianists who performed so well to their class on Tuesday this week. Keep up the good work girls!
Instrumental Players Please would parents encourage their daughters to continue practising regularly during the summer holidays. It is very easy to leave the instruments alone and not play them when the routine of school is not in place. All girls learning instruments should try to practise at least twice a week when they are at home in the holidays.
Extra-Curricular Music We are looking forward to, hopefully, being able to offer a variety of cross-year instrumental groups and choirs in September.
FOST would like to wish you all a fantastic summer break. We would like to thank all of the parents for their continued support to our fundraising activities during this special year - and look forward to more exciting endeavours in the future! I’m sure you’ll all want to join me in thanking our fantastic 2020-2021 class reps who do so much to foster that sense of community at St Teresa’s. Finally a very special thank you goes to our Chair, Sue Sweetbaum who sadly leaves us this term after many years at the school and on the committee.
