Dear Parents We are hosting two special events next week. On Wednesday we have our Future Schools’ Evening which is a fantastic opportunity to gain an insight into the characteristics of several leading senior schools. In addition, it provides a forum to discuss some of the latest trends in independent education. On Friday we are celebrating a special Mass with a particular emphasis on Grandparents. I hope you and your family enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend.
Yours sincerely Michael Connolly

Music News Prep Schools’ Choral Day
On Tuesday 25 April, members of C# attended a Prep Schools’ Choral Day at Charterhouse. Pupils had the opportunity to perform Handel’s Messiah alongside children from various other prep schools and some of the Charterhouse choristers. Charterhouse Chapel is a wonderful venue for any singer and being part of a performance of this nature was a great privilege. Our pupils did Cranmore proud and they will remember this experience for a long time. I would like to thank Mr Harris for accompanying us to Charterhouse.

Cross Country News One of our Form 2 pupils had a busy Easter weekend taking part in the 50th JK Orienteering event. It is the top four day orienteering event in Britain attracting over 2,000 orienteers and international runners, ranging from 10-80+ year olds. Luke took part in all four days: Day 1 - Sprint at Brunel University, Day 2 - Middle distance, Day 3 Long distance and Day 4 - Relay. Luke did very well in the middle and long distance, independently navigating 2km and 3km (running approximately 2.6 and 3.9km) coming in 3rd place in his age class. As you can see from the maps, the routes required plenty of navigation through the woods.

Welcome back to the summer term from the CPA. We hope you had a lovely Easter break. With summer term, comes an afternoon of fun and games and a chance to catch up with friends at the annual CPA event, Picnic in the Paddock on Saturday 17th June, 12-3pm. You will find a form for buying tickets in your child’s book bag next week. It's just £10 for a family ticket (for up to 6 people). Bring a picnic or enjoy something from one of the hot food or ice cream stalls. With lots for the children to do, it promises to be a great afternoon for all the family. See you there!
