Dear Parents I was delighted to see so many of you at our Future Schools’ Evening and I know how much you appreciated the opportunity to hear the views of the various representatives from these leading senior schools. This morning we are celebrating our special Mass for Grandparents in recognition for all that they do in supporting you and, of course, their grandchildren. There is a busy weekend of sport ahead and a special event at the rowing club on Sunday when Mr Martin will be hosting the President’s Reception. You will have noticed that our car park project is making good progress and that the netball court has been completed.
Yours sincerely Michael Connolly

At Forest School last week, the Lower Prep children took part in Little Red Riding Hood’s treasure hunt and a blindfold trail. The children worked in teams, eagerly reading and solving the clues which lead them to the treasure. Luckily, the Big Bad Wolf was not seen lurking behind the trees! Wearing blindfolds, the children explored using their other senses. They held on to a rope to guide them through a woodland trail that went up, down, under and through obstacles. There was a wonderful buzz of excitement as they helped and cheered on their friends. Miss Jefford Assistant Head of the Junior Department

Any senior pupils who play an instrument or take singing lessons are encouraged to take part in this competition. Highly Commended Our 5th & 6th Form pupils recently entered a competition, organised by KCS Wimbledon, to create a poster addressing the issues about whether or not Heathrow Airport needs a third runway. To do this, pupils had to learn how to analyse data, identify propaganda and create reasoned arguments in pictorial and eye-catching form. This was a cross-curricular project involving both Geography and English – as well as effective design skills. In a strong field of entries from across the South East, N Nassuphis was highly commended by the judges for his work.
