Dear Parents, Cranmore pupils have been busy in the local community this week and we are very proud of them all. On Sunday the Junior Chamber Choir joined with their parents and the parishioners at Ockham Church for their celebration of the first Sunday in Advent. This afternoon some of our School Council representatives from the Senior Department will be going to Lime Grove, a local residential care home to deliver some Christmas gifts to the residents and entertain them with music, songs and poetry. I would also draw your attention to another local community event happening later this month when Cherry Trees will be holding a Christmas Concert here at Cranmore, details in this newsletter. As Christmas draws closer, I look forward to seeing many of you at the Upper Prep and Form One Christmas production next week and the School Carol Service on the penultimate evening of the term. Best Wishes, Susan Walker

Bright Stars News This week the Nursery children had an amazing time at Forest School. We lit a fire and learned all about fire safety and how to sit around the fire circle. We popped some popcorn on the fire too. It was delicious!

Twig Tower Challenge There was lots of excitement at Forest School this week. The Lower Prep children gathered sticks and twigs for a twig tower challenge. Who could build the tallest tower? The children worked in teams to build their magnificent tall towers. Great building, everyone! Miss Jefford

Woking Drama Festival 2016 Well done to all of the pupils who took part in the Woking Drama Festival last Saturday. This year there was stiff competition with many entries from various schools in the area. The standard was high but Cranmore rose to the challenge, gaining distinctions and medals in most of the classes. A very special thank you to all the parents who accompanied their children to the event at this very busy time of year. Mrs Collins
