The Lower Prep children enjoyed a sunny afternoon exploring Forest School and talking about our rules to stay safe. The children visited the log cabin classroom, climbed the spiral hill, sat around the fire circle, played in a den and spotted an apricot tree. A fun time was had by all!

A busy weekend for Cranmore Rowers Last weekend was a busy one for the Cranmore Rowing Club. On Saturday, in spite of a rather dull day, we had one octuple, three quadruple sculls and three double sculls out on the river - a total of 26 rowers, plus coxes! For many it was their first experience of rowing on the river in racing boats whilst for others it was the chance to get back into rowing after the summer. On Sunday we joined Walton Rowing Club Juniors for our annual scratch regatta. Congratulations to Bruce Behn, who was in the winning crew as well as all the other club members whose attendance meant we had a Cranmore sculler in every crew! The event was followed by a riverside barbecue which was enjoyed by all. Thank you to all the parents who came and supported our crews. Mr Martin

Bringing professional musicians to Cranmore

This year, we will welcome eight principal players from Southern Pro Musica to perform at ‘Cranmore Live’. This professional chamber orchestra has developed a strong reputation for the quality of its performances during the past twenty five years, both in orchestral concerts and also in partnership with many of the leading major choirs in the south. Under the artistic direction of Jonathan Willcocks, Southern Pro Musica draws on the many fine freelance professional musicians choosing to base their careers in London and the south of England, and has developed a strong educational element to its work in its desire to reach out into the community. Members of Southern Pro Musica will perform here at Cranmore on Thursday 10 November at 7pm. This concert will feature, amongst other famous pieces, Sophie Langdon (Professor of Violin Royal Academy of Music, London) playing ‘The Four Seasons’ by Antonio Vivaldi. This will be a ticketed event (Adults £10, Children/U18 £5). Cranmore pupils will not require a ticket to attend but must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are now available for this wonderful concert online via this link: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/cranmoreschool
