CRA worked with a major client to establish its position in relation to the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC). The company has a range of UK-based operations, including large head offices, divisional offices, engineering facilities and other operational interests. CRA supported the company to determine its organisational boundary structure for the CRC and also developed an inventory of electricity consumption to confirm whether or not the company exceeded the participation threshold of 6,000 MWh of qualifying metered electricity. This involved liaison with outsourced facilities management companies to obtain information and clarification of responsibilities. CRA also provided support in determining if the company was deemed responsible for the electricity consumption at an installation which it managed.
