EMS Development Support
CRA is delivering a programme of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) support to a global oil and gas company operating in Uganda. This includes undertaking environmental and health and safety audits of country operations and systems as part of the corporate EHS audit programme, and also providing support to the country EHS team in the development of internal management systems. CRA is providing specialist support to participate in or lead corporate audits of both environmental and H&S management processes, both at the country headquarters and in the field. Drilling operations include the development of new exploration wells and well testing, and associated activities involve well pad construction, waste management and operation of base camps. In addition to working with the corporate team, CRA is supporting the country EHS team in reviewing and strengthening its own EHS management procedures. This has included an EMS gap analysis of the country system against the requirements of ISO 14001. Work will continue to strengthen the company’s EHS management systems to meet the demands of forthcoming production operations.
