Although known specifically for their Durian confections, Goodwood Park never fails to impress every Christmas with deluctable delights from both the Goodwood Park Deli and Gordon’s Grill. On the main menu, amongst many regular items, is the the Mustard Crusted U.S. Kurobuta Pork Rack, which is a must try by our standards. Indocafe THE WHIT E HOUSE
If you are tired of all the western cuisine this season, here’s an opportunity to get back to our Asian roots and pacify cravings for spices and spicy food! Indocafe – The White House, promises you just that, authentic Indonesian and Peranakan cuisine. This ala-carte buffet surprised us with its poignant spices combined in a subtle, charismatic manner. It certainly is Asian cuisine done well. The stars of the buffet were Indocafe Signature Kueh Pie Tee, Indocafe Otak Klasik (soft like tofu!) and the Rempah Hu - perfectly panfried mackerel. The long lost Peranakan dish, Tempoyak, fermented durian paste is stir fried with asparagus and prawns. It has hints of the pungent durian towards the end, but a fragrant dish definitely worth having. The Ayam Buah Keluak, a perennial favourite Peranakan dish is also prepared well, the strong taste of buah keluak proved to be nothing but addictive.

PHILIPS and Your Hair Philips
Many girls take pride in their hair - maybe because it can either make or break a look! So giving hair tools to a girl is probably the best. Philips MoistureProtect dryer ($189) and straightener ($159) vows to deliver appropriate temperature to your hair with their non-overheating technology. Sometimes hair mist just isn’t enough, so this EasyShine ionic styling brush ($55) should keep the pesky frizz at bay as it neutralizes the positive static charges. It is not bulky so it’s great for holidays, too!

Goldheart’s Celestial Star Flake collection may twinkle and be shaped like snowflakes but of course they last far longer than that and won’t melt in your hand. They are as close to the actual ones as we can get! Other collections like Elise lock necklaces that incorporate rose gold exude femininity. Though we might not recommend adding cheesy lines while gifting that to someone else!
