Team Work at CRCC

Even more amazing than his career is how he has beaten the odds ofrecovering from recurring bouts ofcancer and how he has pushed back,barely skipping beat as a 5-time cancer survivor.His routine revolves around going to the gym every single day and as oftoday,has been cancer free for 3 years.

Jay and his brother Greg,also a golf course superintendent at Baltrusol Golf Club in New Jersey have been fierce competitors since their teens.Although Baltrusol may have a more celebrated history than Coral Ridge,younger brother Greg looks up to Jay for his tenacity in overcoming obstacles.Now,as best offriends, they compete as a team and can appreciate each other for different reasons.

24 years | Originally from Jamaica,in US 30 years.Married 23 years, proud Dad oftwo boys and one girl.Best part ofworking at CRCC: “Working with the staffin my department and other departments.My co-workers are my friends;they are like my family.”

Smith Casimir “Smitty, ” Clubhouse Foreman

20 years | Originally from Haiti,in the US 42 years.“One ofthe proudest moments of my life was the day I saw my son graduating from UCF as a game designer.Proofofthe American Dream that day,my dream came true.”Best part of working at CRCC:“I’m always learning something new and growing in my role.”

Jay could not do what he does without the help ofsuperintendents Mike Hughes and Alex Kugelberg plus a small army of dedicated staffincluding some ofthe long-term employees listed below.Jay’s wife, Carolina is his assistant in the Golf Maintenance department and provides still and drone course photography which adds a depth ofinterest to Golf communications.

Almonor Jean Baptiste, Operator Level 2 20 years | Originally from Haiti.Almonor was happy to be able to bring his 5-year-old daughter to the U.S.from Haiti last year and she is now attending school.
