APOSTLE & MRS. SAMUEL K. ARTHUR REGIONAL APOSTLE
PASTOR & MRS. SETH SAMUEL ASANTE HOST PASTOR
OPENING ADDRESS
O
ur Most highly distinguished National Head, Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Owusu, Members of the Regional Executive, fellow ministers and their wives, and general membership of the Church Of Pentecost, New York Region, I deem it a high honor to address this special annual gathering held to celebrate the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
On behalf of our Region, I render our utmost gratitude and thanks to the most high God through whose benevolence and sacrificial love, the Lord Jesus was offered as a propitiation for our sins, thus making us sons and daughters of the kingdom of light. I would like to place on record, the Region’s inestimable appreciation to the Planning Committee that worked tirelessly to put this great event together, with special thanks to the host minister, Pastor Seth Asante who chaired the committee spending countless hours and efforts to provide us with this elegant and confortable environment for our purposes. We say God bless you greatly. The Theme for our 2012 Easter Convention is “The Blood Of Jesus is my Ransom” – I Pet. 1:18-20. The shedding of the blood of Jesus, without which there will be no remission of sins, is the fundamental cornerstone of our calling into the Kingdom of God. It is therefore highly befitting, that we spend this great weekend remembering and celebrating the efficacy of the Blood and the Hope of glory that we find in the resurrection. Further, we are gathered here to share fel-
lowship with one another and to be blessed by the inspiring and spirit filled messages from our Apostles and Ministers. Given its celebratory tone, we are also going to dedicate time to heartfelt praise and worship of our risen Lord.
Brethren, undoubtedly, last year’s Easter Convention were a remarkable success. Since our God is always up to new things, I maintain that this year’s gathering will be extraordinary. If you fully avail yourself and participate with diligence in every facet of the program, you will never leave here the same. Beloved people of God, much prayer has gone into this event. The Heavens are ready, the Father is ready, the Son is ready, the Holy Spirit is ready and your able God appointed ministers are readysomething special is coming your way as we claim our redemption and inheritance through the Blood. It is my prayer that over this weekend, you will remain sober, attentive and receptive, so that you will not miss out on any blessing apportioned for you in this event through the precarious death of Jesus on the Cross. On this note, with the third person of the trinity in control, our able National Head in the Chair, I am very pleased to officially and formally declare open the 2012 New York Region Easter Convention. Be blessed, enjoy yourselves and have a HAPPY EASTER CELEBRATION IN HIS PRESENCE!

B
eloved National Head, Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Owusu, New York Regional Head, Apostle Samuel K. Arthur, Fellow Ministers in the LORD’s Vineyard, Ministers’ Wives, National Deacon, Distinguished Members of the Regional Executive Committee and Presbyters, beloved Saints in the LORD, "One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple." Psalm 27:4 May the Name of the Almighty God be praised. On behalf of the Pennsylvania District and on my own behalf I welcome you to this gorgeous Marriott Hotel here in the heart of the City of Philadelphia. We deem it a great honor to be hosting this grandeur gathering, the Great New York Region’s Easter Convention, welcome back home!. It is indeed a great privilege, and we are thankful to the Regional Head and the Regional Executive for the decision to hold the Convention here in Pennsylvania. within our means. We here in Philadelphia have committed ourselves to of sacrifice of love for our brothers and sisters. We do not ask you to give us, we ask you what you need. We do not ask to be lauded, all we ask is to serve you. We define hospitality as "Philadelphia" which is to say City of brotherly LOVE. Be assured that you are in good hands.
The event planning and coordinating team has set up everything to keep us all engaged. The Children and Youth will be in their quarters, and everyone else here in this ballroom, which has more than enough room to seat everyone. We have the First Aid office, Prayer & Counseling office, Parking coupons Desk, Security and safety Desk in the back to serve all your needs and to make you very comfortable. As much as this magnificent hotel’s atmosphere, and the downtown experience coaxes one into a very relaxed and entertaining frame of mind, I wish to ask that we remember, purposefully, the reason why we have come here. May I caution that, as we have come to seek the LORD, we would make that our focus. May you indeed experience the ransoming power in the blood of Jesus. As we wait on Him these three days, He will certainly meet us at our points of need. God has placed us here, that as you beckon, we would take care of your physical needs, as Jesus meets you at your point of need. Once again you are warmly welcome to the 2012 New York Region Easter Convention here in PHILADELPHIA, the city of brotherly love. May the LORD God Almighty, bless you for coming. Akwaaba!

When I Survey The Wondrous Cross
When I survey the wondrous Cross On which the Prince of Glory died, My richest gain I count but loss, And pour contempt on all my pride.
See, from His head, His hands, His feet,
Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast, Save in the death of Christ, my God; All the vain things that charm me most, I sacrifice them to His blood.
Were the whole realm of nature mine That were an oering far too small; Love so amazing, so divine Demands my soul, my life, my all.
10 THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST U.S.A., INC.
Sorrow and love flow mingled down Did e’er such love and sorrow meet, Or thorns compose so rich a crown?
“Man of sorrow”, What a name “Man of sorrow”, what a name! For the Son of God who came Ruined sinners to reclaim! Hallelujah! What a Savior! Bearing shame and scoffing rude, In my place condemned He stood; Sealed my pardon with his blood; Hallelujah! What a Savior Guilty, vile, and helpless we, Spotless lamb of God was he;
2
“Full atonement, can it be?” Hallelujah! What a Savior! Lifted up was he to die, “It is finished” was His cry; Now in heaven exalted high; Hallelujah! What a Savior When He comes, our glorious King. All His ransomed home to bring, en anew this song we’ll sing; Hallelujah! What a Savior

God sent His son
God sent His son, they called him Jesus He came to love, heal and forgive He lived and died to buy my pardon An empty grave is there to prove My Savior lives. Chorus Because He lives, I can face tomorrow Because he lives all fear is gone Because I know He holds the future And life is worth the living just because He lives
12 THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST U.S.A., INC.
How sweet to hold a new born baby And feel the pride and joy he gives But greater still the calm assurance is child can face uncertain days because He lives And the day I’ll crossthe river; I’ll fight life’s final war with pain; And then as death gives way to vict’ry I’ll see the lights of glory and I’ll know He lives.

My Hope is built on nothing less
My hope is built on nothing less an Jesus’ blood and righteousness I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
His oath, His covenant, and blood, Support one in the ‘whelming flood’ When all around my soul gives way, He then is all my hope and stay.
Chorus On Christ, the solid rock, I stand; All other ground is sinking sand
When He shall come with trumpet sound. Oh, may I then in Him be found: Dressed in His righteousness alone, Faultless to stand before the throne..
When darkness seems to veil His face; I rest on His unchanging grace; In every high and stormy gale, My anchor holds within the veil. 18 THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST U.S.A., INC.
