Atlanta is the number one place to live. You live better, you eat better, the rides are better, vehicles is better deals. It’s better people. More mean people, but at my level you want it to be about business.

So it’s perfect for me.

Words

with Waterboy Bash

I interview my friends.

But I don’t really think of them like interviews though.

I’m just having conversations,

conversations worth putting on YouTube.

I use to work at this autoshop downtown...

... but that shit was ass. I wasn’t doing anything over there, I was replaceable. Just another kid waiting on a paycheck.

With my friends I felt needed, even though I was always the one in the group that didn’t rap. I kept the team going, I kept the energy up, I just helped out however I could. I became the waterboy of the gang.

I want to do that for the world now.

“I believe that water is the only drink for a wise man. That quote means a lot to me.

Why is Atlanta

so fucking lit?

“I think it’s one of those places where, because we didn’t grow up in New York, because we didn’t grow up on the West Coast, we had time to soak both of those things in. Because no one expected anything from the South, except, you know, maybe fast, booty-shake club music. The door was wide open, so we had an open palette. And one thing I can say about Atlanta is you can do anything from Atlanta. Like, I think it would’ve been harder for us to come out from New York because they would’ve expected us to do a certain thing. We would have to be bound to a certain thing. We would have to rap a certain way, you know. So I think Atlanta is almost like a freedom land because we had no ties to anything. It was just open, like, open field.” - Andre 3000

Here,

“I had a dream I ran Atlanta, and I was on every radio station. And 107.9 was 97.5 again. And they played me at Golden Glide on Friday. And they played me real loud on the street, we drive up Memorial Drive, up Wesley Chapel. I reopen 112, and Jazzy T’s. I’d bring back Turner Field. I fire all the cops in Cobb county. Chick-Fil-A will be open on Sundays. I bring back LaFace Records, Freaknik. Kilo Ali, Lou. I got J.R. Crickets some Spelman girls with big booties. I reopen SciTrek, strippers will get Mother’s day off, and I’d have my own Gangsta Grillz mixtape”
