Justin Ahrens is the principal of Rule29, a strategic creative firm located in Geneva, Illinois. In his 10+ years of producing award-winning and strategically motivated work, Justin has developed a passion for “making creative matter”. Rule29 clients, ranging from non-profit organizations to Fortune 500 corporations, can expect Justin’s and the rest of R29’s enthusiasm to be infused into each project. His work has been recognized by many leading industry publications, and Graphic Design USA even chose him as one of the top designers to watch in 2004. But for all his accomplishments, Justin’s greatest passion is being home with his wife, Sarah, and their four amazing kids who think Dad’s job is listening to music, drawing pictures, and playing on the computer.

Jodi Bluth is the publisher and general manager of Los Angeles-based Animation Magazine. For over 20 years, Animation Magazine has been the first and only worldwide monthly publication dedicated solely to the art, technology and business of animation and visual effects. Jodi was also the Festival Director for the renowned World Animation Celebration in 2001. Before joining Animation Magazine, she was the coordinator for her uncle Don Bluth’s ToonUp 2000 weekend seminars as well as the manager for Toon Talk magazine.

From collecting vintage 1950’s furniture to a fascination with modern architecture, Sean Brunson’s passion for design and advertising runs deep. The associate creative director at Fry Hammond Barr Advertising, Sean has received much recognition for his work, racking up numerous TELLY’s, and hundreds of local, district, and national ADDY’s. He was named Outstanding Art Director 2001 and 2006 by the Orlando Advertising Federation and has been featured in publications such as the New York Type Director’s Club annual, Graphis, HOW, Print, Communication Arts and Creativity. Accounts that have benefited from Sean’s unique style include Bright House Networks, Toyota, Kennedy Space Center, YMCA, and Hard Rock Cafe. On the weekends, Sean can most likely be found in the Atlantic ocean catching waves with his daughter, Rachael.

Todd Deery Todd Deery has more than 12 years of marketing and communication experience both in and out of education. He is currently Communication & Admission Director of the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy, UCF?s graduate game-development program. Prior to joining FIEA, he was coordinator of marketing at Valencia Community College for seven years and a writer and editor at the ad agency YP&B. For 12 years, he has been an adjunct professor of English and humanities and has taught at Stetson University, UCF and Valencia. He is also a freelance music, book and art writer and has published poetry in several national journals.

Constance Evans With more than 20 years leading art organizations and educational institutions, Constance Evans brings a blend of leadership and professionalism to further advocate the issues and rights that impact today’s creative professionals. In July 2005 Evans was appointed National CEO, Advertising Photographers of America (APA), a leading trade association representing 2,400 of the top professional advertising and photographic artists, and now in its 26th year. Among other posts she has held, she served as director of the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, and is award-winning artist.

Heidi Brown

Paul Babb Paul Babb is a graphics software technology authority with more than a decade of direct industry experience in the 3D animation, visual effects and motion graphics industry. Today, under Babb’s leadership, Cinema 4D, is heralded as one of the fastest growing and most widely used 3D products for digital content creation with installments at some of the industry’s leading film, post production and broadcast facilities including Sony Pictures Imageworks, Rhythm and Hues, Digital Domain, Disney, Imaginary Forces, The Discovery Channel, The Weather Channel, CNN, Fox Television and many others.

Heidi has been an award winning designer her self for nearly 20 years. She graduated from the Center for Creative studies with a BFA in Graphic Communication. Heidi has worked for several successful design studios over the years and is the co-founder of Create Magazine. Heidi has worked for Hard Rock Café International as their Senior Designer since 1998.

Dana R. DeLapi

Jay Carlson Previously the President of the Central Florida chapter of the American Society of Media Professionals (ASMP), Jay has an impressive portfolio under his belt. Graduating from SF college, he broke into commercial photography as an assistant to David Tise, from whom he learned more than the basics. He had the opportunity to assist Annie Leibovitz, Bob Stone, and Albert Watson. In San Francisco, he hit the street running, with a dynamic commercial portfolio including prestigious clients like Apple, Intel, Atari, Clorox, Christian Brothers, Hexcel Medical, Smith Kline, and Cutter Labs. Returning East, he became the Photo Director for a multifaceted graphics studio. He currently resides in Tampa and shoots for a variety of clients.

Dana R. DeLapi is the Director of Content and Media Relations with Brahn Communications, Inc. DeLapi handles speaker engagements and relations, as well as works as a liaison to the media for Create Chaos 2008. DeLapi is the former Editor of Create Magazine, a national creative publication serving the creative industries and aimed to inform, connect, inspire and educate the creative community. DeLapi has interviewed and worked with professionals all over the world in various creative industries including advertising, photography, new media and graphic design. DeLapi also had a hand in developing various marketing materials and strategies for Create Communications, including the Create Awards and the Create Network. She has had the honor of judging creative competitions across the country, as well as speaking at local events. DeLapi also holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Central Florida.

Jeff Fisher Jeff Fisher, author of “Identity Crisis!: 50 redesigns that transformed stale identities into successful brands,” is the Engineer of Creative Identity for Portland-based design firm, Jeff Fisher LogoMotives. During his 30-year career he has received nearly 600 regional, national and international design awards for his logo design efforts. Dana Glaeser Originally a vagabond of creative nonfiction, political discussions, educational research, contemporary music and general entrepreneurship, Dana Glaeser has settled into a career as a marketing director for Knight in Orlando, FL. What he does exactly is less important than the fact that he always does it while consuming massive amounts of chocolate milk, a recent obsession among many recent obsessions. Prior to joining Knight, Dana worked as an English teacher, researcher, copywriter and public relations director. Robyn Kurth Robyn Kurth is a freelance writer with more than 15 years of experience writing and producing corporate and industrial videos, with a specialty in “writing for the ear.” In addition to Create Magazine, Robyn’s work has been published in the Orlando Sentinel, Nevada Magazine, Neapolitan Family Magazine, Chicken Soup for the Chocolate Lover’s Soul and other anthologies.
