The photography courses at HSFC are all very similar in what the basic idea in what you do in the different courses. Here is some basic info about the course from the college website: This is a digital Photography course and therefore most photographs and related imagery is created through the combination of digital cameras and digital editing software. Should you wish to use your own additional film based cameras to take photographs, then this is welcomed. The display of all the work will be on blog sites (Tumblr). The courses that fall under photography are GCSE, AS and A2. I have interviewed some people who are doing a photography course in the college: Morgan: ‘for me the course is very enjoyable and it lets be creative with my photographs although I much prefer to edit photographs than taking them.’ Alex: The photography course is very fun as you get go out and take lots of interesting and eye catching photos which we then edit to make them look better or just to upload them on to our blogs which means our work can be seen by any one.’ Mollie: The course itself is ok but I would rather be out taking photos as the lesson for me drags on and sometimes I would rather read the terms and conditions of iTunes than be in lesson. My opinion of the BTEC course is that it starts off quite interesting and you can enjoy it but when you get to the end of the course it begins to drag quite a lot and you end up having very little motivation on actually taking photographs.
