Friends of West Park are back and proud to present Vintage in the Park which will take place on Sunday 30th July 12-4pm

This year the group are encouraging vintage stall holders to bring a vintage game to add to their display as a bit of family fun.

The hugely popular event will be celebrating 100 years of West Park.

On the day you can expect to see classic cars, displays and exhibits, dancing along with music from DJ Major Swing and Kitty as well as entertainer Neil Wilde.

Georgina Petty, part of the Friends of West Park, told Our Goole: “We are very excited to be collaborating with Goole Library and Museum this year. They will be bringing artefacts, information and intriguing pieces of Goole history to share with us on the day. We would also love people to get involved and share their memories with us as part of an ongoing exhibition about West Park in the Library and Museum, which is just being set up at the time of writing. All being well J Petty Motors will be bringing a 1920s Sunbeam and 1947 Alvis which have been lovingly restored for the day. We had lots of ideas about how to celebrate 100 years of West Park (first opened 13th September 1923). It’s been such a big year with the Coronation that we didn’t want to pass up such a great opportunity to celebrate the jewel in Goole’s crown. The group hoped that this event would be a fitting way to weave past, present and future, bringing everyone in the community together to celebrate the ‘Grand Old Lady of Goole.”
