You’ve doubtless heard the phrase “it takes a village a to raise a child.” The point being that every interaction a child has with his or her brother, sister, uncle, aunty, oupa, gogo, family friend or distant cousin has an impact on that child’s life. I believe, in the same way, it takes an entire organisation to make a sale. Let me unpack that a little.

Start with a great customer value proposition around simplified products and services. Consider the power of world-class marketing around what we stand for. Add in a nurturing corporate culture dedicated to the development of its employees and business partners.

LET'S UNPACK THAT

The sense of purpose that attracts and retains the most outstanding talent in the industry. The world-class customer engagement layer combining technology and humanity to deliver seamless and meaningful brand experiences. A superb customer acquisition methodology that’s continually adapts to and pre-empt the needs of an ever-changing marketplace. And finally, the combined power of all the personal interactions that each highly skilled and equipped adviser brings to the equation.


I believe that all of these factors are in place to help inspire and assist a potential sale.

We have shown grit, resilience and agility in our ability to honour our promises to each other, and to the clients we serve. We have done what matters when it mattered most. We have imaged what’s possible and made it a reality. We have acted with humanity and developed a brand-new customer promise built on the very idea of being in it with you. And we continue to refine and refresh those aspects of our business, our offerings, and our operations we need to pivot to keep us in a premier position in the marketplace.


But all of this is meaningless without you to front it all. It is your empathy that brings it all to life.

YOU MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

It is your expertise that manifests all the meaning we have to offer. It is your on-the-ground presence that gives the human touch to our humanitarian purpose.


And so, as we move into the challenge ahead, I encourage you to stand tall and dig deep. Acknowledge the power you have to improve the lives of the people we serve.
