Pizza is one of the world's favorite dishes. It is warm, gooey, cheesy, and delicious. It is comfort food for people around the globe, and a go-to dinner staple in homes across America. For some, takeout is the way to go, others have a favorite pizzeria, and there are even some that prefer to make it in their own home. No matter your preference, we are here to share with you the best ways to get your pizza on in the area.

Homemade Pizza Recipes Super Easy Homemade Pizza 1½ cups warm water • 2 Tbsp. sugar 1 Tbsp. yeast • 3½ cups flour • 1 tsp Salt Storebought Pizza Sauce • Cheese Desired Toppings Mix your warm water, sugar and yeast together. You will then let it sit for 5 minutes. Add flour and salt to the water, sugar, and yeast. Mix this until smooth and let it raise for 10 minutes. Spread out your dough to the desired sizes, and let rest for another 10 minutes. Spread pizza sauce evenly about an inch from the edge, and then top with cheese and desired toppings. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

From-Scratch Mozzarella Basil Pizza For the Dough Cooking spray • 1 1⁄4 cups lukewarm water • 1 tbsp. granulated sugar 2 1⁄4 tsp active dry yeast • 3 cups all-purpose flour • 2 tsp. kosher salt 1 ⁄4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

Grease your large mixing bowl with cooking spray. In another bowl add water and sugar and stir to dissolve. You will then sprinkle over yeast until frothy. In your third large bowl, add flour, salt, and oil. Combine your yeast mixture, and mix until your dough begins to form. Knead against sides of bowl until dough starts to form.Knead your dough until it feels elastic and only slightly tacky, about 5 minutes. Next, create a tight ball, and place in your greased bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and let sit for 30 minutes to rise. Gently punch down dough, then divide in 2, and roll into balls. Preheat oven to 500° and grease a large baking sheet with olive oil. Sprinkle all over with 2 tablespoons cornmeal. On your work surface, gently flatten your pizza to your desired size and shape. Carefully transfer to prepared baking sheet and brush dough all over with oil. Then, add your 1/2 cup sauce to middle of dough and spread outwards with a spoon or ladle, leaving about 1" for the crust. Top with mozzarella and desired toppings. Repeat with remaining dough and toppings for the second pizza.

There are certain songs that you and your spouse share that automatically trigger those happy butterflies. For some people, it is their wedding song, the song that played during their first kiss, or the song that was played when they met. Everyone's story is sweet and unique, and we wanted to hear them all. “Mine and my husband's first dance song was Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran. It was a super popular song when we got married, and it has now become a classic, so it still plays all the time on the radio.” - Alex from Georgia “For us, our song is Home by Phillip Phillips. We heard it before my husband was sent to his first duty station, and it fits the military lifestyle perfectly.” - Taylor from Texas “Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding is our song. We spin around the kitchen and dance to it every at-home date night. It played in the bar when we first met.” - Hayley from Utah “My husband sang My Girl by the Temptations to me in the car on our first date, and it has been our love song ever since.” - Penny from Florida “We never had a wedding, but my husband asked me to dance for the first time to Love On Top by Beyoncé. He is such a goofy guy and I laughed the entire time.” - Olivia from Louisiana. “We used my Grandparent’s wedding song as our first dance song too. It was a very special moment for us. The song was Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley.” - Gianna from New York “Our first dance was to Make You Feel My Love by Adele. It is such a good song and I love that we selected it.” - Kassidy from Oregon “We kept it classic when picking our love song, and we went with I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston. Her vocals are just incredible and give you chills.” - Lindsey from Ohio “My husband prop0sed to me with Lionel Richie’s Endless Love playing on the radio and ever since that song is so special to both of us” - Susan from North Dakota 9

Scarlett O’Hara Drink The Scarlett O’Hara drink is a tart, fruity cocktail. It’s perfect for after dinner or on a long hot summer afternoon. Its popularity has declined in recent years, but it’s overdue for a revival.. 2 ounces Southern Comfort Dash of lime juice 6 ounces cranberry juice Lime wedge Raspberry Beret The Raspberry Beret is a catchy little cocktail named after a catchy little song. It’s sweet and creamy and delicious – perfect as a dessert substitute. 1 ounce vodka 1 ounce Chambord 1 ounce Baileys Irish Cream Splash of grenadine Blend everything together with ice while listening to Prince’s “Raspberry Beret” (okay, maybe that’s optional). Rim a martini glass with red sugar (you can add red food coloring to regular sugar). Pour everything, including the ice, into the glass. Top it with whipped cream and sprinkle more of the red sugar on top.

Chocolate Cherry Cha-Cha This drink makes a fabulous dessert, with the Malibu coconut rum adding sweetness and bringing out the cherry and chocolate notes. It’s also beautiful for any holiday featuring the color red – a perfect date drink for Valentine’s Day. 1 ounce cherry liqueur 1 1⁄2 ounces Malibu Coconut Rum 1 ⁄2 ounce chocolate vodka 1 ⁄2 ounce club soda or sparkling water Chill the ingredients beforehand. Pour the cherry liqueur into a martini glass. Follow it with the Malibu Coconut rum, then the chocolate vodka, and finally the sparkling water. Stir and serve.

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in the Southern Comfort, lime juice and cranberry juice. Shake thoroughly until chilled. Strain into a sour glass or Collins glass.

Loco Unicorn The Loco Unicorn drink recipe tastes as good as it looks. Captain Morgan’s LocoNut coconut liqueur blends with two fruity ingredients to make a beautiful pink and blue rainbow. 6 ounces Coconut Water 2 ounces Captain Morgan LocoNut 1 ⁄4 ounce grenadine 1 ⁄4 ounce Blue Curacao Liqueur Edible purple glitter Dip a 13 ounce highball glass in water and then edible glitter to form a rim Fill the glass with ice. Add the coconut water and Captain Morgan LocoNut. Stir these until they’re blended. Drizzle the Grenadine in slowly so it falls to the bottom and sits. Now slowly drizzle the Curacao in, so it sits on the top.

It is important to remember that February is Black History Month. This month is used to celebrate and honor the achievements of African Americans throughout U.S History. This remembrance began in 1976, and every U.S President has deemed February as Black History month since. There have been so many remarkable African American men and woman throughout history that have truly left their marks on the world, including those within the US Military. They left their stamp on our military and changed it for the better. Here are just a few of them to honor and praise all month long.

Lemuel Haynes This hero served as a minuteman during the American Revolutionary War. He is remembered for fighting at the April 1775 Battle of Lexington. He was an indentured servant who enlisted in the war after earning his freedom. After completing his military service, he became an ordained Protestant minister.

Major Martin Robison Delany Delany was the first African-American field officer in the U.S. Army and led the 52nd U.S. Colored Troops Regiment. He became the first line officer in U.S. Army history and was then later accepted at Harvard Medical School.

1st Lieutenant Vernon J. Baker This extraordinary hero received the Medal of Honor for his action near Viareggio, Italy, during World War II. He showed outstanding courage and leadership in destroying enemy installations, personnel and equipment during his company’s attack.

Harriet M. Waddy Also known as one of the two highest-ranking black officers in the women’s Army Corps in World War II. Before entering the military, she was an aide to Mary McLeod Bethune, which is one of the reasons she was selected to be an advisor to the Army on racial issues.

General Roscoe Robinson Jr. Robinson became the first African-American four-star general in the U.S. Army. This amazing West Point graduate's career spanned two wars and four stars. He is known for being a trail-blazer for his time period. 20

The Beijing Winter Olympics is right around the corner. Who is ready for some amazing performances? The opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday, February 4, and airs live on NBC and Peacock at 5:55 am.

Remember, Beijing is 12 hours ahead of the Eastern time zone, so be sure to plan accordingly so you don't miss anything.

Sgt Emily Sweeney - Luge

Check out the schedule on the next page for times and details on your must-watch events.

A little fun fact about these games is that this will be the first time China has hosted the Winter Olympics. The host city has hosted a summer Olympics in the past though. They were praised for their opening ceremony in the past, so this year it is expected to be spectacular.

The winter months always come with a few headaches every year. Who has ever slipped down some icy stairs, been late to work due to a frozen windshield, or shivered in the cold trying to pull open your frozen car door? It is always a sure-fire way to ruin a good morning. Thankfully, there are so many simple and fast hacks that will help you get to your destination quick and safely.

Defrosting Your Windshield Homemade De-icer This quick and easy spray can be made in seconds. All you need is one cup of water and one cup of rubbing alcohol. Just mix the two ingredients in an old spray bottle and you are good to go. The ice will melt away right on contact. Vinegar Mix If you don’t have rubbing alcohol handy, give this vinegar solution a try instead. This is a preventive measure, so it is best to be done before bed or when you return home from work. Just mix 3 cups of vinegar with 1 cup of water in a spray bottle and spray all of your windows. It will help prevent ice from forming on your windshields.

Dealing with Icy Steps Melt it Away In a large bucket, combine a half-gallon of hot water, about six drops of dish soap, and 1/4 cup of rubbing alcohol. This mixture will cause the snow and ice to begin to bubble up and melt. Be sure to scrape away any leftover pieces of ice. Add Some Traction If you don’t have time to wait for it to melt, spread sand or kitty litter on the ice. These substances will adhere to the ice and form a no-slip surface. This will help you get to your car safely.

Opening your car Push on your car door. Apply pressure by leaning on your frozen door and push as hard as you can. This may help crack the ice seal that is on your door so that you can easily open it. Spray Rubbing Alcohol Try spraying rubbing alcohol along the opening of your car door as well as the keyhole. This will help melt away the ice so that you can quickly access your vehicle.
