TARGETED METABOLOMICS Targeted Metabolomics is an important part of metabolomics research, characterized by strong specificity, high detecon sensivity and accurate quanficaon. Through the enrichment and accurate quantave and qualitave analysis of a specific metabolite in blood, urine or other body fluids and ssues, targeted metabolomics can be combined with other experimental data to reveal the relevant molecular mechanism of acon, and can also provide strong support for the further research, development and ulizaon of metabolic molecular markers. In addion, targeted metabolomics can be used to verify the hypotheses proposed by non-targeted metabolomics experiments, and to study metabolic models for specific metabolites.

Why choose targeted metabolomics? • Validaon of biomarkers found in untargeted metabolomics • Hypothesis driven • Absolute quanficaon of spesific features • Validaon of idenfied feature (but requires a commercially available chemical standard for validaon) • High sensivity reaching pg level, achieving quanficaon of low-abundance metabolites
Sample preparation • Extracon procedure for specific metabolites
Data acquisition • Chromatographic separaon • MS ionizaon (negave and posive modes) (EI, ESI, APC, MALDI) • Mass detecon • Mulple Reacon Monitoring (MRM)
Data processing • Data preprocessing •Stascal analysis • Absolute quantaon of metabolite concentraons
Data interpretation • Bioinformacs • Integrave OMICS • Enrichment analysis • Pathway analysis • Metabolic network
For our targeted metabolomics methodologies, Creave Proteomics uses a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer to detect through mulple reacon monitoring (MRM). A vast amount of mass spectrometry informaon can be generated to help you perform idenficaon and quanficaon of metabolites with high sensivity, precision and accuracy, allowing you to intuively design targeted experiments and capture data related to important changes in the sample.
