Introduction High my name's Bob McCoy and I’m the artist who producers painting of Jimi Hendrix uh... identity and the year two thousand eleven in a studio in Saint Joseph Minnesota and it was done basically out of respect for Jimi and owner of our the enjoyment that I've gotten from him over the years even though he hasn't been around producing music since the early seventies Hendrix was part of my childhood growing up actually would go to sleep listening Hendrix hard to believe but headphones on and drifting away at night listening to Purple Haze, Foxy Lady, The Wind Cries Mary, you name it cartoon matter what the temple was for some reason the vibrations when into me and got me to go to sleep so actually grew up with the guy even though I never got to see him live or meet him so this painting again is a tribute to him and what he's meant to me I love that he's wearing a uniform

because he really is one of the people in a army of of people that produced some incredible music back in the seventies and the late sixties. He is probably my favorite artist. His nationality on his race and none of that ever entered into perceptions or thoughts about him. You need reached somehow another level which took us away from any preconceived notions about who people are what they are and uh..., sounds pretty heavy but uh... I think it's all true and um... so I had a lot of respect for him and this has been really find it stomach really can't read which is a quick kind of like he was and um... and produces some really vibrant colors so I put it on our panel and um... put a high gloss over it and uh... I think that works out really well cuz it director and really sharp clean feel to it colors in the background I added the rest of the ast subject matter was taken from the archives of Jimi Hendrix uh... photo library and uh... I think it's probably my favorite photo of him arches shows him being caught uh... candidly holding a cigarette in one hand and just simply working out when else to say so is that something pretty good he probably have a little bit there playwright it's fun too imagine what year taking our stuff and then you can't put it in your head and can move it around in get your video put together see that's something I haven't done right diana if I was doing in video like this that probably do a story board and get it all planned out before even sat down but I’m sure you're doing it all right now as we are working on it which is really cool the frame-up and I was added by the person who ended up

actual portrait Jim McAlister was a good friend of mine and uh... good supporter of the arts in the same calling in insane chile realigned with uh... lot of other places in the country I think that frame is perfect for uh... Jimi and what he's wearing and the entire field for the painting that I did I guess that's really all I have to tell you right now about it so you think that's it?
